Buggar I'd forgotten about the tubes. On my 003 I had to drill the hole bigger to fit the tube in . My sprung loaded crown is without doubt the best crown you could hope for but it takes effort. A thinner tube that's the same diameter where it connects to the case would be the easiest option. Please keep up the good work T we appreciate your efforts.

A rare birdy indeed, where did you source that from? Is the braclet really titanium? I found the steel ones I had just to heavy for day to day wear so this would be ideal. Is dial Brown and how's the font? A21j or A7750 Looks good nice to see a modern contempory Panerai for a change ST4

I agree 009 is a sweet watch and a rare bird indeed. But I think I'd need to look in to the dial a bit. Shouldn't a B series be a T swiss T ? My A 028 is a T swiss made T. Did they change the 009? Have you got any pictures ? I think that's an A but its T at least. Honestly I dont think an L swiss L is that great but if you like it then go for it . They seem to command 20K + if not more I think I saw some on the bay for 50+ so 10k does look good value

Do you really think its 10k worth of watch over your current 009, you probably have a better dial on that, L Swiss L on a B doesn't exactly scream bargain.

Yeah right like thats gonna happen..... but seriously the new reissue is just silly size anyway and not practically wearable . It would be nice if they would just revisit the 006/007/008 with a manual wind lemania/seagull movement It really should not be that hard , but no they will just end up making another garish Frank Muller fake tourbie Chronograph that no one wants PAH!!!!

Its a shame that we can't make DW overlay for these as they seem to becoming more frequent. Are these the same movement in the Big pilots. I think they are pretty sturdy. I don't understand why they make these reps with display casebacks surely it must be easier to make a solid one? ST4

Just how many spare 1950 dials do you think might be out there? given that most of the spares seem to of been snapped up already the chances of finding one are pretty slim. Then there's the cost, now its non of my business what you do with you $$$ hookers booze or replica watches but the figures PeteM mentioned are just insane seriously is it really worth it? There are 1950 fiddys in the world not 51 not 52. I like a good watch as much as the next man but a rep is rep no matter how muc wonga you shove in it. Reality check boys come on there are better ways to spend your dough.

Nice Starter Pam. There are loads of fixes for it but it all depends how far you want to pursue them. I'd always change the strap as the rep strap quality can be always be improved quickly and easily How are you finding it on the wrist? Do you think you've caught the bug?
