My 5517 was for 3 swims and alas is no longer working. It even had the rubber seal on crown. Very Sad day that was. So I will getting watches tested first from now on.
Folks
Thanks for the timely post as I've just got my first 1665 today. Its a fantastic thing. But mines been modded and for that vintage look the pearl has been removed. I can't help think I'd like it there. Could you please explain the term " illumes dots from Ofrei". Can you point me in the direction of where I might get a vintage pearl.
Many thanks in advance
AH the power of google! That'll be oferi.com then. And I think I have my dots and pearls confused.
EDITED by Offshore
(may not be such a good idea to show this info) How about PM to Juicemaker instead.

Will PM (hindsight) thanks
ST

Yikes, I feel your pain. Exact same thing happened to my 5517 last weekend , though it was from the sea and not a bath. Thing is I'd swam with mine loads of time before and this time the dome just missted up on me. Been trying to dry it out all week, and The Zigmeisters comment have really concerned me now. Guess you should get your checked over ASAP. Not been a lucky week for my reps
Good luck Laz
Nice strap Dude
I have the same issue with the buckle on my Pam 55. The big shiney buckle looks fine on my 127 but I'm just not feeling it on my Ti. To cut it off or not cut it off that is the Question?
Thank you so much for that great review and pics, much appreciated. There is a lot of daylight luvin going on there me thinks and rightly so.
I saw a very similar Daylight Gen the other day, but im sure it had Blue hands, any idea what model that might be? it didnt have the recessed dials.
cheers

Forgive my spelling but it may be a GP. Gerrard Perrigaux. GP use to have the Ferrari franchise before Panerai who took it over a few years back. I think it was 2005. Have you got a picture of the watch.?
I use my Rolex Tiffany Sub 5517 on a Nato. Its perfect for all those needs and hopefully mines getting a more used look in the process. The Nato strap is really great flexible and drys quickly. It got a few nice comment at the weekend after an ocean swim.
Hope this helps

.muffle. (Aka Numpty LOL)
You should be able to just search on the 3 digit number, on Andrew or Josh's site. Sometimes they're are prefixed with Pam with a space or no space or Panerai.
Honestly it really does not matter one you get because you soon realise that one is just not ernough. I've only just start collecting and got a 127 to start, I was somewhat niaeve and didn't realise how big it would be. But 4 straps later I now have 3 Pams and just can't seem to stop myself wanting more. You seem to want an Auto beaware they only make up a small percentage of the different Pams. The dealers have just released 3 new Auto's but the lovely Blue one was a limited release but more are expected. I think the 104 ( ithinks that's the one sorry if in wrong). Is an Auto with a Date a Luminor Marina type. Learning the different types is all part of the fun. Just beaware its Very very addictive once you Start. Good luck andlook forward to seeing what you get.
Victoria thank you(X2),that's what I wanted to hear really and compared to my 127 and 055 it really does seem to be springloaded. Hope these shots have uploaded. Thanks again
Thanks for the prompt responses, for some reason I cannot upload a file odd as the pic is only 10k. Its does seem to be spring loaded compared to my others so perhaps thats just the way it is. cheers S
Greetings fellow RWG'ers.
Today I received my new Pammy177 and I am having doubts about the crowns stability. I was hoping that some of you have had a similar issue and that my worries are not necessary.
Basically I'm not sure how well the Crown is working; it seems to wobble when it's pulled out to change the time. Is this normal? Also it seems quite stiff but that's fine. Am I over concerned? As overall I'm pretty happy with it. But my 127 and 055 don't not behave quite like this.
There is a light AR which is nice, the sapphire is high quality and the movement is correct. Apologies for the poor pictures they were scanned at work. (alas I cannot upload Pics, its not my day)
I appreciate that the teeth on the crown are too few and that there is a recessed canon pin, these I can live with but I'm worried that it might not last.
Has anyone had a similar issue? I really don't want to have to send it back as even though its only is a few hours I've already grown quite attached to it.
Thanks in advance and have a good weekend
