Arm I will have a word with my guy today. But are you sure you can't get you watchsmith to do. Not that I know anything about 7750's but isn't dropping in a new date wheel quite easy if you have the tools. Surely its not like a major service or anything too difficult. ( As if I can even change a strap without f#*king it up) ST

Given Chris's statement in his first post "Waterproof test and silicon grease of the rubbers will automatic be included in the price" and that its been in the sea quite abit I think thats a yes. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=68845

I know the Noob has been reviewed in the best possible way already, and is getting a few shouts recently, but I thought I'd just share my recent acquisition from eurotimez with you good folks at RWG. I'm constantly surprised by the conservatism I seem to be showing in my watch choices, must be old age I guess, anyway

Dude its what we do, boys and thier toys. Bet you've always done this with stuff you've had, first kids toys then moved on to stereo's and vcr's and other electronic stuff. Now its watches. Accept the things you cannot change. I was finally able to get the solid back off of my Pam 055 the other day with a ball of masking tape, you'd of thought I'd found buried treasure with the excitment I had looking inside that thing. Take it back to your watchmaker, that's what they're for. Mine's shaking his head and rubbing his hands together right now trying to dry out and repair my SRSD. Going to cost me mucho $$$$$ c'est bien dommage ST

What you Want and what you need are 2 different things. IMHO you don't need a tall pin for it to go over raised markings on a dial. What you may Want is it to look like a gen, thus the need for a tall pin. If you are looking for the later I would avoid that Pam in your link as it is nothing like a 172 regardless of what the pin may look like. ST

Good of you to look out for your old man. What about an IWC spitfire chrono (3716?) Or a Super Seadweller or a nice MBW patek nautilus None of them are too obvious like the A8 Looking forward to seeing your choice ST

Not a huge Tag fan really, though I do like the vintage stuff. BUT I saw these in an AD today and they are very nice indeed. I think they are the Biggest Tag's I've seen and the look great on a leather strap. I was really surprised at how sturdy and solid it looked Be nice to see a good rep. ST

Helenrou on the bay has carbon fibre dials that are similar to the 140. Except I don't think they have the date. I think some of the dealers around here do 140 types so they might be able to help. Be keen to see what you come up with. ST
