  7. Diamonds in her Handbag!!! must of been from the heist LOL I actually think its a mineral glass hence its scratched up so bad. I tried to get the bezel of with thin knife without success . I dont want to take it apart if I need to get the bezel off as well . so wanted to see if anyone had taken a bezel off
  8. Yeah it’s pretty stealthy for sure. I was actually thinking of brightening it up with a blue strap at some stage. You’re right about the material it’s a unique feel indeed. How you finding the weird [censored] movement date?
  9. I do not think trusty sets out to sell dud watches they are all pretty good . the AFR Rolex's are very good. I would just go for a midrange. Again I stipulate . Buy what you like and appeals to you. don't get caught up in the minutia of details that may or may not be accurate. "Buy , Wear , Enjoy Repeat" its simple . You asked for suggestions I have given you them . As for longevity I have reps that are 10 years old and still tick along nicely other can last a year or 2 , like anything it depends how you treat them . Get an ETA clone and you'll be fine . But it appears your need to have the best of the best of the best should steer you towards a genuine watch . I am not sure a replica will ever meet your need for perfection off the shelf .
  10. Hi Guys does anyone have any experience with dismantling a Chanel 38mm J12 . Basically the glass on my misses watch is scratched like crazy , I don't know what shes been up to with it and its gone cloudy as well. Anyway I think I have new crystal, though its hard to tell if its the right size. Does anyone know , Is it easy to take the bezel off ? is it just a push snap type or is a more complex set up. Then do I have to remove the movement to take the crystal off or do you reckon I can take it off without having to take the whole watch apart? Thanks for any guidance the RWG team can provide. ST4
  11. I reckon any lady would be happy with a 36mm DJ The Yacht range is vast .I suggest you think about what you like , Steel v Gold , Bracelet V Rubber and Size rather than what other people deem to be the perfect YM I am always mildly suspicious when people are focused on weight of watches, what are you hoping to achieve with this ?
  12. Be keen to see what it looks like on other straps. Bit miffed that its spring bars mind you.
  13. Hard to tell the difference between this and the 18k $540 $69000
  14. Looks great , I have another brands bronze watch and use a fresh lemon to get it back to its original state. just have to leave the lemon on for a while
  15. Looks great. What strap are you wearing it with.
  16. Not that I have worked out yet . When you pull the crown into a typical date change position it just moves the hour hand. The good thing is you can move the date backawards and forwards but you still have to rotate it through 24 hours
