  1. The bezel seems solid enough I guess time will tell. The sound is similar to the gen in the video. The movement works like the gen in the video . I’ve not had an opportunity to get the back off and have a sticky beak at the movement. TBH I’m not too impressed by that function though and I think I’d prefer a normal date change. The lever is pretty solid with a decent snap. But doesn’t inspire the Complete confidence that a metal one does.
  2. Firstly a big thanks to Trusty time for a speedy delivery. Just over a week to sunny Australia so top notch service. First impressions are very positive. its a quality item feels very well made. The strap is soft and comfortable and that dial really pops with that unique blue. But I found the case material to be a surprise I was expecting the plastic feel of Carbon fiber similar to my old AP Carbon Diver. The material is much more ceramicic like. Similar in feel and sound to an old IWC TopGun a had a while back I haven't held a genuine so I cannot know if this is how they feel. Do any of the RWG community have any other Carbotech models that they can share their thoughts on the material composition. The case is also the first Panerai I have seen with Spring bars - This is sacrilege IMHO and i wasnt expecting that . I Movement. Well at first I thought it was buggered and didn't work properly. As mentioned by Legend it is not a OPXXXIV. When you pull the crown to what would normally be the date position all that happens is that it moves the Hour hand and the date changes at the top of the hour . You can go forwards or backwards with the date change . Its a bit of a rubbish design but I asked trusty and he said it works like the genuine P.9010 Do have a look at this video of a 1616 with a P.9010 to get an idea of how this bizarre movement works Overall I am really impressed worn it to the gym and shower and no issues. Though I think most people think its a G- shock rather than a $15k watch Cheers ST4
  3. That is Impressive especially given the low cost movement there. Have you ever had it serviced ?
  4. I despise this watch so much and that bloke is talking utter [censored]
  5. Finally a 42mm sub and a carbotech to boot. Always liked the older 243 but it was tad heavy IMHO. Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these beauties.
  6. A stunner albeit an expensive one. That dial is magic and the crystal case back is great
  7. https://www.pf-838.com/0-pn229h01-pam-229h-firenze.html Josh used to sell a nice version I got mine from Davidsen , I am not sure if he is still in business , might be worth sending DSN a message
  8. Have you ever had a Nautilus? Theyre fantastic watched I’ve had 3 on bracelets an leather. But they just don’t work for me. I want to like them but as much as I admire their design I can’t like them as much as I thought I should. Ive got a 116519 on order let’s hope that’s a keeper
  9. Are there any forum members who own a gen Pam who are based in Sydney Australia? Could you drop me a PM please? Thanks ST4
  10. The PC version is the better one . The trusty being 10+ years ago. It’s the PC one is available either. Depends on the version you have but if it’s a 7750 you could either service/repair or replace the current movement. You might want to consider an alternative model like. 312 if you want an auto.
  11. Blimey, have you had a bit too much NY cheer ? Anyways I guess its position Zero 0 when its pushed all the way in , but a gentle shake should get it going. Take care in changing the date do not have the time set around the 11 - 1 times best to have it at 6
