  1. My wife uses a Mac and I hate it! Nice to look at, but I'll stick with my setup. I use Ubuntu Linux as my main O/S and run Vista (might upgrade to Windows 7) in VirtualBox for those apps that I can only run in Windows.
  2. I did the first phase and lost about 10 pounds of 15 pounds of fat and added about 4 pounds of muscle. Workouts were brutal, especially the Yoga! Had me sweating like crazy.
  3. The styling on that dial is fantastic. Great dress watch.
  4. Shazam! Seriously, is there a rep of this? I've been looking for this bag. Please PM the price lists of the Nomades.
  5. I'm a big fan of UN watches, but this one doesn't do anything for me. Like the poster above I hate the new subdial surrounds as well.
  6. I don't really care for the subdial rings on the new models....give me the old style rhodium dial and I'll be a happy guy (as well as the black surf....have to have one with a rose gold case)!
  7. Thanks for the pics. This is a great deal for the price. Two questions though: In some photos the dial looks white, but in others (and in your description) it appears shiny and silvery. Does it look white in person? is this the factories version of the Rhodium dial (if not, hopefully that'll be coming soon)?
  8. The Chinese tourby's are great. I've got the one pictured above in rose gold and it's a gorgeous watch. One that I'll almost surely be selling to free up some space in my collection. Great value for the money.
  9. I'm in for the rhodium as well. I'm also kicking around the idea of the black dial (either dimpled or black surf) with rose gold. I must admit, I'm really disappointed they didn't do these with the Seagull movements. Would have been much easier and you'd have a proven, reliable, accurate movement.
  10. I wonder if you could swap in the Seagull movement with Power Reserve into this case without any issues? Might be worth doing if the rest of the watch is quality.
  11. Are you going to be doing the 42mm bezels as well?
  12. Wow, great looking watch. Where were you able to source the date wheels? I'm in the middle of a franken 42 PO project myself and I've been told the rep datewheel isn't lining up with the gen dial, but I've been unable to find a replacement. Can you point me in a direction please?
  13. On the other hand, if they actually came out with a watch everybody's been waiting for maybe sales wouldn't off so much. People have been clamoring for the MMD for what seems like an eternity. Personally, all my other watch buying is on hold UNTIL the UN comes out. Seems we're at a stalement. In the meantime if I can ever find a date wheel for a 42mm PO I'll content myself with finishing my franken PO project.
  14. The MMDC currently shipping have the black screws. As mentioned the Black / Red and the rose gold versions are the most accurate.
  15. I wear my rose gold version twice a week for the past six months and absolutely no signs of wear.
  16. The problem with swapping to an ETA movement is that the dial won't work with that movement. The date window is in the wrong spot for an ETA movement.
  17. I've got both, and while I like them both I tend to wear the PO more than the SSD simply for the reason stated above....most people will think the Rolex is fake. I would highly recommend that if you get the PO you send it out and have AR done on the crystal. It makes a world of difference.
  18. Are the straps reps of the OEM 20mm strap, or are do they only work with the 21j Asian's?
  19. That wood on the left looks awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product.
  20. Agree. This watch was made for rose gold. I'm glad I snapped mine up before he quit offering it in that color. Sure looks a whole lot better to me than the yellow gold.
  21. I'm very calculating when it comes to adding watches to my collection. I like to keep the collection small and focused, so a watch has to fill a specific role for me (dressy, dress casual, casual, sport, etc). Since I keep a hard limit on the number of watches I'll own at any point in time any new watch requires me to sell an existing piece. Therefore I think long and hard about whether or not the new watch is better then my existing watches that fill that role. If it is I sell to buy.
  22. I got the deployant from Bob Davis (advertises these over at Timezone....when I ordered mine he only had two rose gold left) at http://www.mywatchmaker.net/ As for the strap..you can choose your favorite high quality strap maker. I prefer Banda.com.
  23. Good call on the rose gold. I've got that watch in rose gold with a white face and it's a killer watch. The strap and deployant clasp that comes with it are fairly cheap, but change those and you've got an unbelievable watch. I constantly get comments on mine around the office.
  24. Definately the middle one, electric blue w/ white gold dial. Absolutely stunning.
  25. I agree Lani....there are plenty of true super reps for us to start with that it makes sense to only include those reps that are truly something special. At some point we may want to expand to not only cover best value for the money, but also really popular reps that don't quite reach the super rep mark, but for now lets stick with the cream of the crop.
