Jon, when you go to the home page and look at the Shoutbox, there is a part at the bottom that says "Use Default Color". Type something in the text entry field on the right of it, and then click on the shout button next to it.

I think the new look has a lot going for it, so well done on putting in the time and effort. A couple of thing that I'm not so sure about: 1. The poster's info in each post is now presented horizontally, and I think this really adds unecessary bulk to every thread. I preferred the previous layout where the info was vertically presented. 2. At the top of the page it says my inbox is showing 1 unread message. But when I go in there, all my messages are marked as read!

Yes, this dial variant does exist in the real world. It's colloquially known as the "Panda". I don't know if it's still a current model though. @ corgi, yes you are correct, although I am one of the lucky ones in that mine has been working without fault for about a year now.

I don't think this watch (Offshore Team Alinghi) is hideous.... but it is badly designed IMO. I can't get over how impractical the chunky hour and minute hands are. Good technology though. I'd like to see them try and rep the forged carbon ... and somehow I doubt they'd bother to rep the regatta function on the movement....

Awesome tutorial Pugs! Just one thing - what you refered to as a case spring - I thought it was the antimagnetic shield. In fact EL describes it as "anti magnetic 007 shield"

Why do you want a branded cutter? They are overpriced and will get blunt just as quick as any other decent cutter. A waste of money IMO. I use a Mephisto punch cuttter (which has three different sizes), except where I smoke a torpedo - in which case I use a generic double bladed guillotine cutter.

Maybe Al Gore can clear up all this confusion by making "An Inconvenient Truth: Part II"....

Last time I went to Torneau at the Forum Shops, their selection of APs was pathetic. They had about 5... and 2 of them were ladies models.

IMO, GSG 9 definitely wear the best watches (Sinns...) I think the Special Boat Service are more highly rated. Not that this all really matters...

I would get those bad boys plated in WG. I think there were some threads on the old forum about doing this (I had this mod in mind when I was researching AP reps) and I think they said you could buy home kits to do the plating youself. However, it was a long time ago, so I could be wrong...
