Thanks for the feedback everyone, will contact them about the LUGHOLES again later today ---according to Tribal it's suppose to be 1.2mm-- I think but can't be 100% sure tho because I'm not the one doing it but if I can convince them to do it it won't be a problem to drill it right like on the 1680 cases etc... Chris
-
So if I'm not mistaken, just add lug-holes to the case (remove the engravings) and thats all you guys want?!
-
I will "try" (note "try") to convince some ppl in power to make the case with lugholes (or have it done externally thru one of my sources).... Is there anything else I need to know besides ---like spec wise, different case dimension, different strap etc that needs to brought to my attention?" I wouldn't personally mind selling by the thousands LOL (honestly didn't know ppl preferred the transitional one)... Let you all know asap.

Beautiful watch Stephane, Tribal really knows what he's doing Shoot me a PM, and I will let you in on this part.... I believe both are from the same factory... I have some insight that will make sense why the serials are different. " QUOTE STEPHANE" As far as I know, the serials and various engravings on the Rolex reps are very different from one source to the other these days. That doesn't make sense to me. sly.gif I doubt a single factory would go for different serials and engravings between the lugs or in the case back. Apparently the engravings have always been the same on every Noob or every MBK/MBW for years, like a signature."

@ perry365, I think we're forgetting.... ehmmm the "fat tube.... better crown.... gen bezel assembly.... thicker glass.... deeper rehaut..... higher grade steel the case that is being made.... the overal feeling of the watch? It accepts to my knowlegde gen parts....
-
@ Shundi, I think I can get them also UN-ENGRAVED , cases and caseback un-engraved so you can have you're own SHITERAND design, or your FOLEX engraved on it --genuine fake designed engraved on it--

Hi Mickey, I think I would consider installing --if they also don't mind the extra wait-- it then (at slight additional cost --even watchmakers must eat ) if that member also would buy some extra DW from cousinsUK then I would be able to offer this as an optional service. If you're interested Mickey, I'll have it done for you.

Thanks Dirk, very very nice review... nice pics... Sorry it didn't get to you b4 the GTG I really tried my best. But had some problems with EMS... New cases (2008) without ENGRAVINGS are in the making, it will be the WM9 same model then.... I some newer samples in from BKK which I even perfected the MAG by fraction of fraction mm -- the DATENR will also "appear smaller and sharper". I studied the gen real closely to this one while in BKK perfectionizing this piece... Optional movements can be bought directly from me at only +25 usd (but installation you got to do yourself, maybe will do so in the future, you then will be left with a spare DG2813 after swap) DG 4813 --28.8k movement. I can also offer them with GEN0 ETA based but they will be more expensive = 450-475 usd. --mainly as I combine two to become one perfect one. I wasn't sure the 200 usd difference will be worth it..., maybe for some. I thought however was that if based on DG, if anything goes wrong a replacement movement would be cheap, the watch is above fine quality and affordable for everybody. For lugholes I'm not quite sure, I don't really think there's a big enough market for it.... The Euromariner will be 275 usd incl registered airmail shipping, fully inspected (QC) and incl pp fees. I will post a sells thread soon, but I'm quite busy recovering from my trip and buried in e-mails at the moment which need to be answered firstly. Any one interested in the pieces that Tribal reviewed?!? it's already in EU? only 3 pieces to go.... be fast....

Hi sorry it took some time for me to respond, I'm traveling in BKK at the moment sourcing some nice reps.... Both are right, @Mickey I not into modding at the moment and I don't have the ETA DW. But I'll consider doing so in the future. @ TeeJay, thanks for the kind words and for the responce I'm very very much in line like what you said. I will consider doing small mods like ETA DW in the future as we have the capability we just don't have the ETA DW in stock, other than that my watchmaker is more than capable to put it inside the watch, that is not much of a problem. The problem however (and this is what Mickey pointed out -- thanks) is that the rep DW is sometimes printed the way it is printed and therefore there is little that I can do to resolve that... So like TeeJay said, if clients have too high of an expectation what can I do?! I don't produce and reseating them would be useless and timeconsuming. I do check and have them in acceptable "state" and I will reseat them if their completely missalligned ---but not if it is like Rolexman 99% perfect state.... Hope this clarifies...

Not sure about handsize (but i'll would take ACG2010 word for it) but the dial feet is different. So ETA to DG won't go unless you know how to mod. What I meant was why opt for an expensive ETA version when you can get the same watch for 200 usd less?! 450usd ETA EUROMARINER, against 250-275 EUROMARINER -DG2813- ?! If your ETA version Euromariner (450 usd) movement completely brakes down or whatever...... a replacement and/or service can be expensive! If the DG2813 EUROMARINER movement brakes or anything you can have a replacement movement at 10-20 usd anywhere! You have upgrade option (with me + 25usd) to DG4813 fastbeat 28.8k-- same heartbeat as ETA--. From the outside you're not going to be able to tell anyways if it's an ETA or an DG movement (outside their both the same quality). But really the choice is ours.

Review of the MBK ROLEX Submariner 16613
EuroTimez replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
Wow Awesome review..... Thanks for that one, I think I'm enjoying it just as much as every other member here... Yes there will be more reviews watches and reviews coming Maybe an important issue for some and worthwhile to note. the MBK 2008 version TT or SS has a GEN BEZEL CONSTRUCTION, and it's build like the GEN! By-Tor when you compare the Gold on the bezel of both, wouldn't you say the gold on the MBK Bezel is thicker (darker in colour) than the Noob TT? According to MBK the gold on his watches have superiour gold --gold filled he calls it-- than the chinese reps (wrapped/plated). -
I Just don't recommend the COPY ETA movement, I had quite a few bad experience in the past and therefore stopped doing COPY-ETA, but let's see perhaps if alot of ppl have good reviews on the COPY ETA then maybe I'll opt for that. I think I have some sources for that. I can have them made with GEN ETA but these will be more expensive, just the MBK watch 16610 -unmodded- = 400 usd so with GEN ETA. Then it takes time to mod a noobdial + DW + hands into the case so I want to charge the minimal so it would be +50 usd extra (20 usd watchmaker+30 dial/hands/dw). So EUROMARINER gen ETA 2836-2 = 450 usd. But just think of it, for 250-275 usd you can have it with DG2813, add another +25 usd you get a upgrade movement DG4813 (28.8k same heartbeat like ETA). The nice thing of it is, that after the upgrade you still got a spare movement. And in worst worst case scenario the movement brakes down, replacement movements are their by the dozens and DIRT CHEAP (in comparison to ETA).... So this is my underlying thought, make it the best of the best (combine both worlds) make it affordable for everbody, movement make it have a long long life ---the DG2813 seems to have good experience with buyers and IF IF..... ALL HELL BRAKES LOOSE and if one brakes down, order a new movement one at +/- 10-20 usd?! ---- anywhere --- offrei / cousinsuk etc etc, your not dependent then on the dealer for movements, your a free man .... BUT WHAT are you going to do and pay if a ETA movement brakes down to the point of no return! So maybe it's time for an ASIAN movement revolution!

Hi Tribal, the pics shows a 5512 dial not a 5513... The 5513 he never made in white dial, I specifically ask him to make these ones for me and he agreed. So they're in the making now and he will contact me when they're done. Any MBK dials are straightly available from me.... Some pics; 5512 5513 5517

Excuse me?! I'm never lied about my MOVEMENTS, I know that is not what your claiming and prob not what you mean at all, but its still a suggestion pointing towards that direction which I honestly don't like. Please READ what I wrote. In my watches if ordered GEN ETA, you will receive GEN NEW ETA..... ALL CASEBACKS GET OPENED!!! and recently (about 3-4 weeks ago) they all get MARKED read here for independant review of my QC. I even posted tips and tricks how to differentiate between COPY and ETA movement, on several occasions --please read my post above here as well-- why would I do that If I were selling Copy-ETA. I don't have to be afraid as I know exactly what I'm selling. One of my policies when I started here as a Dealer was and has always been NO WHITE/BROWN/BLACK LIES... QC watches, deliver what I promise and top service... (if real ETA then real ETA, and as you can see from my prices I'm generally only 20-30 usd more than top-asian dealers non ETA movements -like 7750, etc- but when it comes to ETA movements I'm like +/- 60 usd more expensive in comparison because I sell real ETA movements). I hope this clarifies a bit...
-
For one the price is afforable for everybody going around 250-275 usd (which will be the cheapest MBK MBW case in history), Case is MBK MBW, movement is different DG2813 (21.6k), date-mag is slightly smaller than MBW, hollow midlinks bracelet (like gen). We all know that MBK MBW dials and DW are horrible in comparison to gen if your a repnerd, the EURO has a noobdial (which is the closest to gen) + noobhands + noob DW, modded into the case... Upgrade movements are available at + 25 usd (DG4813, 28.8k) but you got to install it yourself. The EUROMARINER like MBW MBK has fat tube, smaller crown (than noob), gen bezel construction on 2008 models... etc. Watch incl full inspection + silicon grease on the rubbers and price also incl registered airmail shipping. Lets see what Tribal got to say, its already shipped off to him and should arrive in a couple of days...

@ RODWC, I think you're completely right, as I wrote in the other post as well. No hard feelings, I was genuinely busy You're right many a time ppl claim and say things without actual knowlegde of what they're talking about.... I do feel that I know what I'm talking about... I also completely agree when you say... you must get what you pay for... I'm totally for that. For that whole reason I have complete inspections...
-
Hi RODWC, Thanks for the reply, no don't get me wrong I understood why you might have been upset and you're right if I claim something I need to verify it... It wasn't that I was trying to avoid doing so.... I was just genuinely busy for clarity sake my post above nr28 is a copy of my reply to another post where is I commented that it was def a copy movement..... click here START QUOTE But i'll guarantee my ass that the first pic is 1000% a copy ETA movement... THE GEAR SILVER ONE (BIG ONE) is polished, while the GEN ETA 2836-2 in my experience has always been brushed!!! So check picture 2 from the first post and tell me what you see... besides that also the rotor isn't engraved which is a very commen sign it is a COPY ETA... END QUOTE RODWC seems to be good one
-
Hi P4GTR, no problems Glad I could be of assistance.... The nickel plated ones I think are being also copied now ( i think as I barely get nickel-plated ones ), but I think the one you bought was quite a while ago... because the copy-movements weren't like a year ago massively on the market yet... but they're overtaking the market as the price of the ETA raises significantly...

I actually getting a sample soon from the factory, I'm not sure wheter I have to buy them in BULK or not. If I can get my hands on quite a few of them I'll ship them to you BY-TOR... I got something already on its way to you actually Because Factory was selling only in bulk and damn they're expensive. I think I would opt for the incorrect-handstack version --- no hassling around with the movement and besides that if you can't use the GMT-hand / Hour-hand like By-Tor says, then whats the use if its at a "correct position" and the hour-hand can jump from hour to hour but you CAN'T TOUCH it! A couple of years ago I used to have access to the CHS GMT-2 but I stopped selling them --was selling offboard-- because they failed when you tried using the functions the way the gen works... I would stick to By-Tor suggestion as I handled quite alot of CHS version a few years ago and they brake down with ease. I know this can be a must for some ppl, but I don't think I would like to deal with the return-defect ones of mis-use or of general use... We will see, maybe I will offer them both CHS and IHS...
-
I never quoted 450 usd, I only quoted 350 usd shipped from within EU already in stock fully inspected, rubbers greased and water-pressure tested till 50m... with NEW Gen ETA movement SS strap?! Ar coating you should fig out with Jakub yourself I think he charges + 75 usd.... for installing / removing glass, AR crystal service --which I can only recommend--, shipping etc etc...

A FEW WAYS TO KNOW IF COPY or GEN ETA One very easy indication is the BIG SILVER GEAR (no need to take out parts just open case-back), on copy-ETA (all the ones I've seen) it appears to be shinny aka Polished, while the GEN ETA movement has BRUSHED BIG SILVER GEARS, the one big GEAR at 13.00 o'clock. Then of course the engravings and particulary on ROLEX remove the glued rolex "rotor thingy" and if it doesn't say 25 jewel Swiss made --- 99% sure it's a copy-ETA--- but remember that some COPY-ETA also have engraved rotors.... you also have mixed ETA and COPY-ETA, so it's tricky business... and according to my watchmaker in china if you remove the rotor and check the from there (i requested for a picture of this as I'm no watchmaker) you can see the parts...

Sorry I've been out of town --different city--, in a matter of fact for the weekend and actually had to spend one extra day because of some misfortune... You know some dealers also have social lives , please read my reply below. RODWC (nice pics by the way, very very good shot, better than I could ever take)... My casebacks get opened and marked! just read some reviews with PICTURES of independant reviews done by long-term members, like rolexman HERE. MY reply copied from the other thread; Responding on the pics of another member ---which is def a COPY-ETA movement-- http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry466240 @ Rowdc, sorry if I did upset you in any way. I'm been out of town and actually I don't keep track of everything that I post. The main difference that I can tell easiely is a GEAR, yours seem to be gen ETA, I requested actually a picture from my watchsmith in CHINA for the ROTOR one --it's not the rotor but the inner workings--, as this one I personally don't know how to look at it the watches which come from THAILAND, I don't have to open the ROTOR as I tell fist of all by the GEAR and my suppliers in TH have always treated my like royalty ---never sold me anything else that I didn't order---- ... But i'll guarantee my ass that the first pic is 1000% a copy ETA movement... So I don't want to take it to a personal level but please consider that I'm quite busy and I do have a social life so if I missed out on reply on a post --please accept my apology-- but I have customers that need to be answered and I loose track postings online.... But if you want to side up with Josh or who-ever then consider the white-lies they been saying and are still keeping up... ETA 2813?! How are you going to defend that? Or all the other stuff.... and how about all the other posts of COPY ETA movements coming from well known dealers... I'm not the one causing confusion because I know exactly what I sell, and I believe they know exactly what they sell! Think of it and consider the prices that they offer is it realistic?!?! Also read here for more info for all interested... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=75726

I'm not quite familiar with the NICKEL plated ones, if they made copy of it or not, generally I get the golden ones. But use the thing I posted as a general guide. THE BIG GEAR, I hope they won't change it now it's being exposed that was my fear... I was actually planning on doing a Pic-tutorial... on it... but my time is very limited right now.
