    bezel parts

If this spring is gently bent in the form of the dotted line, ( doesn`t have to be this much ), it will then put more pressure on the ring on which it turns. I don`t know what material the spring is , ( SS ) so 2 pairs of pliers will be needed. As I said GENTLY, as I don`t know how brittle the material is.
  5. I know the gen. comes in a 38 mm. Does the rep?
  6. My wrist is 6 3/4" . this sits just perfect.

    bezel parts

Not the tiny coiled spring, ( this just puts pressure on the click ). I mean the full hexagonal spring that sits in the recess below the machined ratchet teeth on the bezel. Bend this inwards on all the flat lengths and this in turn puts more pressure on the watch body, making it harder to turn.

    bezel parts

Glad to hear that the parts made it ok. They are quite small and easy to loose. I think that if you wan`t the bezel tighter , the hexagonal shaped spring that sits in the recess, just needs a bit of adjustment, and tweaking. Glad to be able to help.

    Dog for sale

OK, it`s late and have had a few Glens. What are we talking about here ? The one on the right, or the one on the left ?
  11. That is an excellent precis of just what to do. I will certainly make a print out of this info. Thanks.
  12. OK. this is only a suggestion, for I know next to nothing about Pams. But , I do know something about machining. This is looking at the problem from a mechanical viewpoint. If the movement is too thick, can the case be machined ( turned in a lathe to bore out the extra depth)? Just how much extra clearance is necessary? How much clearance is there between the hands and the crystal? ( to accomodate for the extra depth). I know it is hard to measure these sizes, but just some idea, an approximation , would give me something to work on. "found that the hole in the movement for the stem doesn't line up with the case hole for the stem" By this , do you mean, if the movement was to go deeper , would the stem hole in the movement line up with the stem case hole ? Note. All this would only be possible if there is a gap between the dial face and the bezel. ( this is with the new movement sitting in the old case. ) This gap, is the amount that needs machining off the case , to allow it to seat deeper. Hope that I have made sense to you here.
  13. Not really warmed to it so far, don`t really know why. Swiss ETA 2836-2. Tho, I am impressed with the white dial version.
  14. Anyone still using one of these? This one has been installed since I had the printer new (Epsom Photo R 210). Don`t do nearly as much printing now , as in the dvd cover and label days, but still handy compared to the expensive cartridges. Believe they are still selling on Ebay, for most printers.
  15. Please let us know what, "the wall" , says. They are usually quite intelligent and don`t talk over your head, and listen really well.
  16. Soldiers of fortune. Mercenaries. Arms dealers. French Foreign Legion. ( where no French National is allowed ). All could be considered a dirty business. They all exist. Political? Clean up job? ( That no government wants to put it`s name to.) What do all these mean to you ? Like them or loath them , they all exist. They will continue, irrespective of what public opion thinks, underground or otherwise.
  17. "Breitling World Time is a powerful tool from the popular watchmaker that allows you to access the correct time for every time zone across the globe. Not only does it tell the time, the utility can also perform calculations, and convert currencies and measures." Requires: Win 98/ME/2000/XP. Date: February 18, 2005. Freeware. There are other world time clocks available, but this one is from BREITLING. Nice pretty GOLD colors. http://www.breitlingsource.com/downloads.shtml
  18. I had never considered that fact, and is very true. The only reason for the extra paperwork, was for when I eventually , "cark it" . Then my son will know just what it is.
  19. http://www.breitlingsource.com/breitling_m...ategories.shtml This page lists all the different Breitling models.
  20. I have corrected the model now thanks to UB7. It does have the Chronographe Certifie Chronometre on the back and the model no. is B 13350.
  21. Just an ordinary working bloke with the mortgage paid off. This was the very first thing I bought for myself.
  22. Bought this gen. Windrider Series - Chronomat GT on Ebay about 4 years ago. Unfortunately it didn`t have the chronometer Attestation certificate from Breitling. Contacted Breitling late Nov. 07 to see if one could be obtained, They told me that the watch was originally supplied to one of their Carribean AD`s, in 2000. Ordered one from the Sydney AD, and it finally arrived today Total time 4 months+ from start to finish, cost A$ 66. So if anyone has a Gen. Breitling without full paperwork , they can be obtained. @UB7 many thanks.
  23. The link does not show the Kairos . This is the Chronoswiss Kairos , ETA 2836-2 , and it`s priced at $238. plus shipping. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...b92eaa09e50477e
  24. My wrist is 6 3/4" on the skin part, the forward "boney" part is a tad bigger. This mesh bracelet slips nicely, between the two, it is sized at the smallest size.
