The DSSD is a chunk of metal. Won't fit under the sleeve properly. Most who get one end up selling it. But it is a matter of preference. And it's good to get opinions and all. But you shouldn't buy anything until you try the gen on.
I'm sure some will argue to justify their purchases, But you are correct. There is no reason to. If you have a good one (or even an average one in many cases) you can't get called out. And if you don't have insecurity issues then you're golden.
Sorry I can't get the pics to blow up so all it looks like to me is a warped insert. If it is the part on the inside that is not a standalone piece as The Zigmeister said. And yes a hairdryer and a heat gun produce totally different results.
I picked up a quartz model just so I could put my hands on it, Outside of the movement which I happen to like, the overall construction of it is right up there with the BCE. There's no way to know of course until the 7750s are in circulation but they should be pretty awesome.
Gaskets and such have nothing to do with it. The crown is a free moving object. The only way something could line back up every time is if it's start/end position were always the same.
You keep saying inferior. Other than the rehaut I see no indication there is anything defective or falling off the watch. Since they dropship everything there is no guarantee on things such as serial numbers. As Alli said it's not static. So that just leaves the movement which is the bulk of the price point. It was advertised as a SWISS eta. Is that what you got?
