Andei3000 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 Changed for the evening to a just finished 187 on red12 baseball strap (thanks simon) This on has the "Franzisco DW mod" (Paper does it as well as top datewheel). minor things to do: -align the hour and minute hand -relume the hands with proper coloured lume -find a pearl, as this one got lost during assembling -CG pin mod -seal the He-valve and datepusher and then I think I'm done!!

Member X Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 New homage that I got for a very reasonable price today: I'm tempted to get a proper CG and see if I can get it to fit!
TeeJay Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Fantastic watches all, some fine custom pieces on show as well
freddy333 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Just received my 6 year-old (long out of warranty) A80 back from Canon service (10 days from the day I shipped it to the day it arrived back at my door, repair cost (including shipping both ways) = 0 - Canon's customer service is truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!) Of course, my (4MP & non-IS) p&s cannot match the succulent dof I get from its bigger (slr) brother mated to a Contax/Zeiss lens, but I still find the images it produces to be more than adequate (& often brilliant) (All hand-held in Auto/Macro mode & sharpened/re-sized only) All in all, this camera takes more pleasing pictures (much less noise/color fringing) than either the SX10IS or G10 did. Newer clearly does not always translate to better. 1
