redwatch Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 That is such a great looking watch! He took some great pics of it too
wiesn089 Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) This is my favorite Planet Ocean by far. I saw one these a few weeks ago alongside a meteoroid dial Speedy at the local Omega Boutique and it's an absolute stunner in person! I hope these will be available for some time since I'm in the process of finishing up my 6263 project and unfortunately right now there's now way I can justify one of these as well... Better grab one now or wait for a used one. It is a limited edition run of 1948 to commerate the first yr the Seamaster was introduced. As with all new tech I'm sure this Liquid Metal technology will eventually find it's way to other regular production models. For now I heard these are or were only available thru Omega boutiques and not your regular AD's. Edited July 4, 2010 by m3amg
P4GTR Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I cant help but smirk at the cheeky gimmick factor of "liquid metal technology" line of bs. But after that split second thought, all i'm left with thereafter is pure primal attraction. They did a bang up job on that model.
gtanak Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 If only this was in a rep i'll grab it in a flash... heck if the dealers had a ceramic insert for UPO i'd grab that first.
esco Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Such a beautiful watch... this is one of those that I would love to have in my collection for the long haul.
arniezac Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Its really cool how the bezel is manufactured.
bingoofsweden Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Absolutely lovely, nothing but perfection Thanks for sharing tolis
StormTooper4 Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Agree its a great looking PO, but isn's the date-wheel a bit cheap looking? given how its recessed , doubt they could replicate that right

Stephane Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Thanks for sharing. That is a super cool one. And unfortunately, it is on my list now Like the guy who posted the pics, I never could decide which PO I trully like. I guess this one is the best one to own !
maxman Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 Why dont I see anything?no link,no picture,nothing
amptor Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I think silix had a rep of this on sale a while back but afaik there's no such thing as a 42mm being produced right now with the correct style of bezel with the coin edge. could be wrong though since sometimes silix sends out a watch that is somewhat like that, just the teeth are uneven on those. would be interesting to search through the entire watchmarket building in GZ to see if one could find anything good lol. And ya i mean the upper floors as well
importr Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 As cool, sleek and expensive as the watch looks, I think the dial would be too shiny for normal use in normal conditions? I can't stand having a shiny dial, and it defeats the object of having AR!
GABYBUM Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 it is supreme how the copy factories can bring with the new technologies and the liquid metal must be more expensive. i can't wait until reviews.
