JoJo35
Been around the gen forums for awhile, and before that here, and RWI, and TRC, and RWG1... and even before that Battery Pk, and 34th (lol, never canal)... I thought about my favorite times, and about what pieces stuck in my head the most, and which one was my favorite. I suppose I'm looking at things a lot differently than many do, since I was not brought up around good watches. The first "rolex" I ever got to look at up close was from a briefcase in front of 34th st. Which ultimately led me of course to RWG1 and TRC, then RWI, then here, and finally the gen forums.. During the last few years I had the luck to meet one of the most talented watchmakers I've ever met, and at that same time I was offered to hold in my hand the first good gen vintage I ever saw (it was a 5508 rolex). I was still new at the game then, and didn't take the opportunity to make an offer and buy it on the spot (trust me, I'm still kicking myself for not doing that). Anyway, after owning a few nice gens, I got to thinking about which one piece is my very favorite? I thought about this for a while, and then I thought about what makes a "thing" valuable to anyone??? Is it the sheer monetary value of it? Or perhaps sentimental value is worth significantly more? After some thought, I'm posting a picture of a watch that certainly ranks at the top of my favorites, my deco bezel pam. I'd love to see other members favorites, from the rare genuine family heirlooms to a home built rep that they put their heart into. Or, maybe a watch that just cost the most. Whichever is the best and favorite that you currently own, I'd love to see it
Jkay
LHOOQ's watch ... is my absolute favorite I've ever seen. I want this so badly, I can taste it.
JoJo35
Thanks for posting Jkay, but what I'd really like to see is your favorite, and in that I mean the one watch that you own that has your heart?

Jkay
Ah, I see. Well it doesnt get much wrist time, since it's a dress watch but my absolute favorite of the watches I own would have to be my completely stock "value watch" Senator Sixties. Once I get a gen dial for my silver faced Long Island Crazy Hour, I suspect it will catapult to the #1 position. thanks to condemore for borrowing his photo. I don't have one of my personal watch. freddy333
Generally, I think most of us consider our latest acquisition/project to be our fav & today that would be my 'Graph However, although I have all but 1 of my grails (the exception being a gold Moonphase, plans of which are under consideration for a future project), I think that if the proverbial house were burning & I had just seconds to grab 1 watch, (today) this would have to be it - the perfect (almost) everything watch
By-Tor
Gens... I have two biggest favorites: 16710 GMT Master II and the blue Aquaracer Chrono. But I answer Aquaracer because it gets the most wrist time. Reps... Old school SMP Chrono with gen insert & ETA dw is my favorite rep. Such a great watch. The numerals just make me stare and stare. Also, you can't see it but the large silver dial is a sunburst!

freddy333
@Freddy333 your 6542's are hard to beat though! I agree & thanks. But as much as I love & appreciate them, my double-red beater is still my fav. Or, at least, the watch I wear more often than any other.

redwatch
I keep bouncing around different watches, but none will ever steal the heart and soul of my community built franken Tudor 9411. There were so many great folk involved in the build and it really shows their individual contribution. I wear it the most, and cherish it the most On my fiancee's iPhone, so no pics at the moment, but you all know of it I'm sure
P4GTR
The difficulty parting with any watch in my collection puts some perspective on things for me, in a good way. I just can't do it tonight. You guys posting more than one watch are cheating the question a bit!
mastrmindalliance
Wow, i thought about this all day, very very hard to choose. I think I'd pick this over my swiss gens and all my reps (which get worn more than the swiss gens): For me it would just be the sensible choice. It's not pretentious but pretty cool and will last a life time.
