Bignasty
Just got the new SMP Chrono in that dealers are now carrying. Best rep I've held lately. The quality is amazing. Buy a gen bracelet and you have the real thing! The dial is beautiful. The crystal seems perfect. Its got the new 28,800vph movement which is basically the genuine movement. The bezel pearl is the closet I've seen, next to the seawolf/chrono avenger reps. Best money I've spent on a rep in a while. I got mine from River, but it seems as though all our dealers will be carrying them soon. A fantastic steal for the dough. I hope there's more like these coming soon (perhaps a Chronomat rep will be next???)! Here's the candy! PS> This one came from River. First deal with him/her and it worked flawlessly. Ordered on Friday~Recieved on a Tuesday!

Buy a gen bracelet and you have the real thing! It is probably the only giveaway that this is not genuine ie. the screws in the bracelet. Combine this with the bracelet from the previous generation superior SMPs with the pin-and-tube links and you've got arguably the most accurate rep watch ever. Also your avatar raises the question: Have you seen the new extended Casino Royale trailer? Looks likes its going to be much better than the previous films. Watches, money, super cars, and beautiful women? What more could you ask for out of entertainment? PS> The names Bond, James Bond!
Bignasty
A few more before bedtime! Seamaster in it's mini sea! Water resistance seems good enough for me!
turkey
Very nice. I will have to get myself one of these. I think the biggest tell is that the bezel insert is off by about 10 degrees to the bezel. If I remember correctly, the taller markers/numbers should line up not with the scalloped portions of the bezel, but the flat sections.

bkdc
Is there an AR coating on the crystal (like the gen)? Minor issue, but no one seems to be advertising it.

swdivad
Is there an AR coating on the crystal (like the gen)? Minor issue, but no one seems to be advertising it. My gen SMP pro chrono didn't have AR coat on the crystal... Same as my regular SMP pro... Don't know why, and maybe it does have *some* kind of coat, but it's not the blue/purple we are used to with other brands. I love this watch, will be my next purchase (as soon as I recover from the last two

r11co
it'd be crazy to buy a $500 bracelet for the rep b/c you can get the gen for 1300-1400 If you have or can track down one of the SMP reps from 12-18 months ago you'll have what you need. The end links will need to be swapped over though to accomodate the deeper case on the chrono. This rep is making me appreciate my old standard SMP even more. I'm wondering if the bezel inserts are available as spares...
Chronus
Hey, Does anybody know the $ for a gen bracelet? Cheers Try ofrei.com if you haven't already. I would guess $400-600 as the clasp by itself can be $200? Hey, I'm in Sweden next weekend (The reason I have no money at the moment )

turkey
How does one fix the bezel insert alignment? AKA, how is the insert attached to the bezel? is it stuck in, or is it a pressure fit ala some subs... A variety of methods are discussed on this page. It is specifically for a submariner, but I am sure it would apply to this watch as well. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...5&hl=insert There also is a guide by By-tor which goes into seamaster modding and a step by step pictorial to removing and reinstalling the bezel. I believe it is one of the links in his signature.
watcher
My gen SMP pro chrono didn't have AR coat on the crystal... Same as my regular SMP pro... Don't know why, and maybe it does have *some* kind of coat, but it's not the blue/purple we are used to with other brands. I love this watch, will be my next purchase (as soon as I recover from the last two Genuine SMP's do have Ar coating on the inside, at least mine does and you can in cetain lights see a faint tint on the edge of the crystal. That said it is only 3 weeks old so maybe it is a new thing on OEM Omega's. By the way it is a 253100 not Chrono like the rep.

ryaku
Gorgeous watch - I hope we see the black version soon I totally agree, stunning watch but we hardly will see a correct replica, subdial spacings can't be replicated rightly for now.
