Utheman Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 At this point in time, I have obtained both my grails. My gen 16610 sub I bought in 1992, and not long ago I acquired Vlydog's awesome franken 1665 GW . That doesn't mean my mind won't change in the future, but I'm good for now
redwatch Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 With your help, I've built my grail I just love my 9411 and I can't wait to get it back from the spa for a much needed service. Other than that, other's have come and gone and I have a deep appreciation for others, but the 9411 will always be around. If I can just find the movement, the Breitling Spatiographe is definitely next on the list

lhooq Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 My grail in both the gen and rep world continues to be the original Speedmaster CK2915. Obtaining a gen would take a bit of a search, and a lot of cash. Building a franken would be a lot trickier!

So while I wait for him to custom make me something special, I suppose I would settle for one of those, cased by any number of companies...

As much as I love the 7032, I can't consider it a grail watch, because since acquiring my Heritage, I'm not as concerned about if I can add a 7032 to my collection... If it can be so easily substituted, it's not a grail in my book Other honorable mentions, are three favorites which do not quite have 'grail status' for me, as I am not desperate to acquire or build them, but which I still really like: the Exotic Daytona, the Snowflake Submariner, and Oliver Shepard's custom 1655
