Need a gift idea for a 30 year old...

So the gf is turning 30, and apparently its a pretty big deal to the ladies.  My problem is probably the same as many men, as years have passed by, the gift list gets shorter and harder.  Last christmas and st.valentines came with a nice purse and a beautiful techno marine, so im out of the easy ones.  I was thinking on jumping to some jewelry, possibly a nice john hardy or DY.  Any ideas?

Although it's hard to beat FXR's idea, how about some travel? Make her Three-Oh a good memory. Take her to the ocean someplace and buy her a little bracelet doodad while you're there. Presto, good memories.

Us men are easy just get us some gadget or other crap we like at the time and we are happy, like Nanuq has said women on the other hand prefer an experience they will not forget...................Fxr's vibrator may well give her that but I'm sure a good weekend away will go down well.

First off, what does your GF like? You should be perceptive enough to pick up on what she really likes, and if you aren't talk to one of her best GF's, women talk a lot!!!!! Her GF will know what she really,really would like. have her GF give you a few ideas, but don't be too specific aboutone thing, she'll let the cat out the bag sure as heck!!!

Some girls like jewelry, others are just OK with jewelry. My wife is a jewelry person, and nice things are always appreciated, but I learned long ago, to let her sort of pick out a few things, that way you don't end up buying something she will never use.

Don't listen to some of these chuckleheads here, their only meaningful relationships are with their watches!!! LOL Just in jest guys

I know this sounds really dumb, but it has worked EVERY time for me.

 

Write her a really well thought out letter about how she makes you feel, I mean spend a ton of time on it and don't be cheezy, be real. Take her out to a nice dinner, share a couple bottles of wine and while you are waiting for dessert, give her the letter.

 

Commence tears and unbelievable sexy time when you get home.

No, what you guys have figured out is the way to push the right buttons!! Women have an innate inborn way of telling if you have spent time and effort on something, rather than stopping at Walmart on Christmas Eve and getting her new kitchenware or some cheap jewelry that she would never wear.

I am constantly amazed by the stories I hear from the gals I work with in Surgery,Recovery,etc. They always ask me what I'm giving my wife for Christmas,Birthday,Anniversary.So many of them never get even a card for their Anniversary, dinky little bull shit gifts for birthdays, Christmas. I suppose the guys are always wondering why they aren't getting any!!! I realize that I make a lot more than some of these families combined incomes, but a nice night out, a good bottle of wine, and a well thought out gift are the ways to a girls heart, and other parts of her anatomy as well!!

The problem is most of these guys spend way more on rifles,shotguns, trucks And hunting leases than they would ever dream of spending on their wives.

Well we both know inflating ground pads are for girl scouts ... real manly men use a TARP for utter luxury. A tarp, in the mud. With bugs. Rahrrrr.

But if SWMBC (She Who Must Be Comfy) comes camping, then all the rules change. You bring the Taj Matent and the inflating mattress and the BIG white gas lantern so no boogeyman can get you, and 5 different kinds of bug spray. Ideally you'll have one sleeping bag big enough for two, and a reason to keep her warm.

You could go with a watch...I got my GF one of these burberry watches used off of ebay pretty cheap for our anniversary last year. I know they aren't very high quality watches (I believe fossil makes them) but they look pretty good and have a luxury brand name.
