sgtguk Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 So I bought a few pieces in 2013, as usual too many truth be told but I do have a favourite, it's a Gen Longines Hydroconquest in blue..................... I waited just over 12 months to get it as the dealers in my area had no stock and every time one popped up second hand it has sold before I had a chance to grab it the one I ended up buying was new and I got a great deal on it too. So what was your favourite piece you picked up in 2013? Pics too please 1
JKDDUDE Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 By far my favorite two buys are the stainless and rose gold AP 15400s with black dials. I know they aren't perfect but to me they are...
jpz5142 Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 My favorite purchase of the year had to be my Oris Aquis Date. It is a great blend of tool watch (with it bulky bracelet links and superb clasp) and fit and form (with the polished outer links and ceramic bezel that slopes up to meet the slight domed crystal). Plus it opened my mind to wearing a watch larger than 42mm. 1
AKTime Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Seiko SSB039 Chrono. Bought this as a Speedy Pro homage since I have been in love with the moon watch since I was a kid and there aren't any decent reps about. It's a solid watch with a solid bracelet, and it wears well on the nasa velcro strap I have as well. 1
Donerix 2.0 Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 My favorite of last year: Laco B-Uhr 2
Archetypal Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Black bay. Although finally pulling together my 1016 and 5513 has to be a close second (pics to come - too busy for words lately). 2013 was a good vintage in my collection... ...Excuse the pun. 1
martijnp Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 I can't decide! But I guess it's one of these two 2
atomic_doug Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Gotta say, 2013 wasn't the best year for me, watch-wise. I bought a couple pieces and flipped them pretty quickly. The only one I kept was a Casio G-9300. 1
onealyan Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 my fev is this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sputim Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Most wrist time gets my pam 111 noob v3 1
fraggle42 Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Lots to choose from. I only started collecting reps (and decent gens) at the very end of 2012.I think my favourites are the Pam 399, my franken UPO and the Aviator. But lots of others are a very close second!!
jaersr. Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 V5 mounted on v3 ss bracelet back in November 13'. Can't stop wearing it. Samsung Galaxy Note III 1
asciwhite Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 I would have to say the NSD... Love this thing. 2
colorao Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 What bracalet is this ? Where You get it ?
asciwhite Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 strapcode.com You have to dremel/file/sand the back of the lug-end on the bracelet to make it fit.. http://www.strapcode.com/store/22mm-brushed-heavy-stainless-steel-heavy-mesh-watch-bracelet-solid-p-2519.html
icoopernicus Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 2013 was a big year for me but if I had to pic a favourite, it would be this. 2
FxrAndy Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Pam 89, I think it has had less than a week off my wrist since last may 1
Utheman Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Seiko Bellmatic 4006 6031. Likely a Franken because I don't think the dial originally came with the case. I ditched the lame bracelet and put it on a dark brown Italian oily leather bund strap. I think it turned out to be a nice combination....
sgtguk Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 Some great pieces guys, keep em coming
aajaxx007 Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 My PAM 127 (Marlin mod rep) is prob my fav purchase of last year. Love this thread btw, hats off to the OP. 1
