nelly
I am surprised that two others are not on your list - 1. Breitling Chronomat Evolution - I just got mine from Andrew and I have to say it's up there with the Ing and the FM (I have both . It does not have an obvious date font problem and also has pretty good AR. 2. Breitling Bentley GT - The date font needs to be slightly bolder but other than that it's damn good. FxrAndy
Sorry that i have arrived a bit late to the party but i would like to add the Railmaster to the list, there is one small fault in the face and i mean small the only other give away is the works whan you turn it over. Joshes railmaster If this was fitted with the seagull version of the 2892 like in the AT here it would be that step closer even better if omega just put a solid back on it would solve all these probs but on the wrist it is 99.99999999999% perfect
By-Tor
I know this is off topic but I must take this opportunity to genuinely thank you for all your reviews, advice and guidance etc By-Tor. I've read all of them (so have thousands of others) and it's an understatement to say they are all excellent and invaluable. Sincere Thanks By-Tor (do you think I'll ever see the Daytona(s) I've always wanted on this list lol... - or is there more chance of me winning the lottery four weeks in a row...with the same numbers lol... ) Thanks mate... you're welcome. The current Daytonas are quite close visually... but the movement issues are what they are. The only reliable solution would be a microstepper quartz movement (there are even 10 ticks per second quartz movements), but I doubt that's gonna happen. As long as we're stuck with the 7750 I doubt we'll see more reliable and better Daytonas.
Pugwash
I wonder if we'll ever see ETA 2894 based reps ...
crystalcranium
I've been pouring over photos of Joshua's Navitimer World White dial and comparing it to the genuine high resolution photographs in the June 2006 Watch Time review and I'm pretty hard pressed to find any differences that are meaningful. Maybe some subdial depth problems but that's always hard to tell from the phitos but right down to the cloud patterns on the holding ring of the decorated engraved rotor movement, this one's a sleeper 1:1. Joshua's Replica The real deal Pretty amazing

Yeah, It looks like even if it were rotated another notch counter clockwise, some of the markers would be off. Damn

themuck
Thanks for that Nelly and I'm glad you're so pleased with your latest rep - do you have any pics so other members can also see how good it is? How does your new Breitling compare with the ones By-Tor reviewed - http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;hl=breitling http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;hl=breitling http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;hl=breitling http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;hl=breitling Haven't found a Bentley GT review - do you know where one is? themuck
Hi again Nelly. Is the Bentley GT day and date fonts meant to be black - and is anyone offering these casebacks? http://cgi.ebay.com/BREITLING-BENTLEY-GT-R...tem320058652088 Or is the day dark red and the date black? http://cgi.ebay.com/BREITLING-BENTLEY-GT-R...tem320059223714 The rep doesn't seem accurate with the day and date fonts or caseback - http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...p;hl=bentley+gt http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=671 http://perfect-clones.com/bl10020-bentley-...nos-p-1346.html Or are the comparison shots in this burgundy Bentley GT mod guide correct? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...&hl=bentley Any opinions on this from anyone? themuck
Top ten results and poll - http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=17501 @nelly, found rolexman's excellent review of the Bentley GT - http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=9152 You're right it seems to deserve its place in Today's Top Ten. @fxrandy, there's been a lot of comment on this forum and others about flybacks and display backs - the majority of opinions seem to say that the movements just aren't replicated accurately enough and it's a major 'tell'. @Hyster - Couldn't agree with you more. themuck
Sorry Pugwash. The list was standing at eight definites and I looked at all the posts in this topic and checked as many reviews as I could find for each and every rep that was mentioned (it took ages) to get the remaining two to make it a Top Ten and not just a Top Eight. Rolexman's excellent Breitling Bentley GT review - http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=9152 ...and you said your new one was pretty damn close - that's why I looked at all topics and posts and then included it my friend - coz I know you know your stuff and if you (and quite a few others) say its perfect (or pretty damn close) then it should perhaps make the Top Ten - possibly at number ten but I think it may be best to let members decide the order of the list in the poll. I also checked reviews, topic and posts here and at RC for the Flieger and customers who have recently taken delivery of the latest models certainly seem share your sentiments. Maybe the only way we will find out is by watching the poll over the next few weeks or so. Thanks Friend

www_watch
my own selfish ends - ie finding out what is / are the Most Perfect Replica Available Today so I can go straight out and buy my first rep before probably buying each and every rep listed here over time. Big mistake! Most probably you won't be happy with a watch just because someone says it's the best. By the way.... do you really believe there is a "best" "ultimate" "perfect" or whatsoever? For example: What if everyone would vote for the "Ultimate 45mm PO"? Would you be [censored] if there was a "more than Ultimate 45mm PO" 3 days after you received yours? Find yourself a watch you like and then browse the forum about it. And most of all: Take your time. IMO that would be the best start for a noob to get into this. This particular thread here won't find an end. There are new watches almost everyday. You could as well reduce the whole board into this single thread. And that's not what it's all about. You will find out soon. There's much more to discover and discuss.
themuck
Thanks for your post www_watch. I realise it's always a question of compromise because it seems that all reps have flaws of some degree or another but, for newbies like me and many others, it's important to seek the advice of trusted and knowledgeable members who know a great deal more than us on the subject - regardless of how much reading and research (countless hours on here and other forums) we all do independently. In addition, for someone like me, who has now ditched the prospect of aquiring the Daytona(s) I've always wanted due to the advice I've read and been given, the subject of this topic is invaluable and I'll buy my first and subsequent reps from the Top Ten knowing of all the possible flaws (most of which can be easily remedied by a local watchsmith) that it may have because knowledgeable members have discussed it here - if they didn't let me know what the possible flaws were, I wouldn't know which rep to choose and what to ask any watchmaker to amend. I'm still researching and I'm still enjoying the experience because of the members here - and I know that with the new models and generations that are regularly becoming available, this subject is one that can be reviewed on a regular and / or ongoing basis so that everyone (newbies and otherwise) can make a balanced judgement about their first / next rep. Thanks Again For The Advice - Much Appreciated
b16a2
The new TT Navitimer 12,9,6 variation is very good! The only thing I can pick out is the date font. The bezel might well be slightly out of line too, but haven't got the watch here to check for it at the moment.
M5kirk
I think that all the posts and opinions in this thread really point out the great selection of excellent reps we have available today. Amazing how much things have changed in the past couple years. I remember when EL came out with the first PAM111 with a "blueish" AR tint and how crazy everyone on the boards went about this "perfect rep"... I think that if that same watch were released today it would be torn apart for all the little imperfections. We have have truly become a spoiled lot... and I'm loving it Cheers! MJP
This is THE thread, IMO. The mitigating factor in all this is ones aesthetic attraction to the gen's design. From there, its a matter of how many, or the severity of, differenciating flaws that youre willing to overlook. Thats the only disconnect in a list like this. But if you like the way a watch looks AND it's on the list, youre golden, pony boy. Is the Flieger really that close? I thought the gen doesn't have "AUTOMATIC" on it? Also, how's the Spitfire, IY'allsO?
Pugwash
Is the Flieger really that close? I thought the gen doesn't have "AUTOMATIC" on it? The Flieger is ok, but there are a few things wrong on the dial. It's very liveable with, though.
sssurfer
I'll buy my first and subsequent reps from the Top Ten Very good, themuck. So you are going to be the very first one on the forum(s) to get a first-hand experience on all those watches together. At that time you will be teaching us which actually is the BEST rep among them. thelawnmowerman
Top ten Reps I have aqquired 5 of the reps this year that are in the top ten, and I will give you my comments on them . Tag heuer Link chrono........ almost perfect in my opinion, it really has to be seen and felt to be beleived, Flaws..datewheel is a little misaligned (better on some numbers than others.) Franck Muller Conquistador.... I got one of these a few months ago , unfortunately it kept awful time and couldnt be regulated(this was just my watch and not a normal problem) dealer swapped it for a different watch cos I asked him nicely. flaws... the bracelet is awful get a strap, its way too bling and is cheesy. IWC Ingenieur...... awesome rep with real presence on the wrist, I've worn it into several ADs no problem. Flaws ... date font is wrong (its not that bad and no-one will notice beleive me) Seamaster chrono...... excellent rep but not quite as good as the Link. bezel alignment (easy fix)... screws in bracelet (again easy fix.. buy a replacement ) also 2 different date fonts (get the right one) Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.5mm Ultimate (I dont know what edition you wanna call it but its Joshes latest) Flaws ... almost flawless cept maybe for the logo (you wont notice it without a loupe) one heavy mother of a watch. Hope this helps
