Beachcomber Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 I bought this Gen a couple of years ago when times were better, it's a 764xxx from 1962 it's what's called a tropical dial with uniform spiderwebbing, dial is all original as are the hands, the hands may have been relumed some time ago but they are original to the watch. I found this to be way too small (38mm) and felt like I wasn't wearing a Sub. Traded her for the Red(which I sold) to pay for tuition for my daughter's university with no regrets. alligoat Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Well you could always build a rep of the 5508. Having seen your recent gilt 5513, it certainly wouldn't be that hard for you to do. I realize it wouldn't be the same as having the gen, but sometimes we have to make do!
