edgematic1 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Hey guys, Most of you will probably know me from the AP section. I've been a member on the rep fora since 2008 and really haven't been on here actively since about 1-2 years. I'm checking back in. I was collecting & still am collecting gens but after a recent burglary where they only came for my watches I'm drawn back to reps. I took a big hit and don't want it to happen again so most of my gens will stay at the bankvault. Let's get back to getting some reps in my home! :-). Looks like the makers mainly focus on Rolex, AP, Tudor etc. Not as much Panerai as back in the day nor Hublot or other brand. Think for example about Oris, Longines, ... My main interest for the last years are vintage pieces, preferably utilitarian. I love pieces used in the military. Anyhow. Hey guys!
Nanuq Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Hey Edge, welcome back big guy! We're still here and having fun.
Legend Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 The master of datewheels and one of the pioneers of AP frankens.. welcome back S!
Nanuq Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 No kidding, this is a visit by Royalty! Did anyone chill the Moet et Chandon?
Legend Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 No kidding, this is a visit by Royalty! Did anyone chill the Moet et Chandon? I thought that the Moet is an Elites Lounge exclusive? No? Much like the cuban cigars and fanciful magazines?
panda06 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 I thought that the Moet is an Elites Lounge exclusive? No? Much like the cuban cigars and fanciful magazines? in terms of french champagne Moet is far from being a good one sorry edge to hear that you were robbed
Legend Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 in terms of french champagne Moet is far from being a good one sorry edge to hear that you were robbed Lol.. I guess you do know your champagnes. What would you recommend for pouring down Edge's royal throat then? 1
Sogeha Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 I've only been here about a couple of years, so I missed you first time around. It's always good to see a member return, though I'm sorry to hear of the circumstances. I hope you collected on the insurance at least.
panda06 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Lol.. I guess you do know your champagnes. What would you recommend for pouring down Edge's royal throat then? 1 Bollinger grande année 2 Dom Pérignon 3 Cristal roederer second choice (the one you have at home for regular drink) Ruinart Laurent Perrier
edgematic1 Posted September 23, 2016 Author Report Posted September 23, 2016 Thanks guys! Yummy, Champagne! Great list panda! One of the Champagnes I love the most is "Paul Etienne St. Germain". A small family run Champagne house on the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay. They've beaten Dom Pérignon in a contest a while back. The champagne's on me guys, it's only a 3h drive... Unfortunately the stolen pieces weren't insured. I usually keep them at the bank, this time I had 4 of them lying at home. The biggest hit was my Rolex 5513 gilt from '66. Gonna work hard to earn that back...
freddy333 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Sorry to hear about the bad luck, but happy to hear they did not harm you. 1
prdubis Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 1 Bollinger grande année 2 Dom Pérignon 3 Cristal roederer second choice (the one you have at home for regular drink) Ruinart Laurent Perrier You should try Selosse, Krug, Jacquesson, Agrapart...

robertk Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Welcome back Edge. Terrible news about the theft. The only major change is that the reps are better and more EXPENSIVE! 1
edgematic1 Posted September 27, 2016 Author Report Posted September 27, 2016 Thanks a lot guys! I've been reading like crazy the last few days.
panerai153 Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Glad to have you back!! Sorry to hear about your watch thefts. There are so many lowlifes in the world today, scares me to have anything valuable, unless it is locked up in a bank safety deposit box.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1
mjmj Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Welcome back edge. Sad and sorry to hear about your loss. Hope those thieves eventually get what they deserve 1
