pman
I bought a VIPmariner on another site, same thing as the noob. The wok bothered the [censored] out of me. I went out and ponied up for a MBW. Not that is one amazingly good looking watch. It's not perfect but the quality and rehaut depth make a big difference. If you can afford one, get it. You won't be disappointed.

FxrAndy
If i wanted a Noob there is only one port of call, TTK, many others may call there cheep good sub noobs or what ever but to be sure it was the same as the original noob as reviewed by Bytor then i would go to where they first came from. Rocsen
Most of Andrew's rolex reps, if not all, are very conical(wokky). So are Josh's classic and perfect sub, except for his beginmariner. Pretty accurate!
predfan2001
Wokky "Ultimate" Submariner from Andrew he discounted for me because of all the problems I had with his watches. (he told me it was the best) LOL: Since I was embarrassed to wear it because of the terrible rehaut, I installed a Tudor dial: Turned out the Tudor dial was too small. Then I ruined the movement trying to fix it. After a new movement and the original dial, I am happy to have it back for a beater. At least it wasn't a total loss: Edited September 26, 2007 by predfan2001

perry563
I have mentioned this before BUT....I have a new MBW from TTK and its just as Wokky as the Ultimate Sub shown here. I also have an older (maybe 3-4 year old) TW best sub and it has a nice straight rehaut. Does anyone know why the current MBW is like this? HauteHippie
The current MBW modern subs are indeed "wokky". To find proper rehaut depth with a cylindrical shape, one must obtain the old school MBW or TW Best case on the used market (mine's not for sale).... Xyphis
Just got my Blue TT Sub from Josh. Great watch, nice bezel. Rather accurate....yet I can still make stir fry! Oh well, it IS a rep. If it bugs me enough I'kll just go out and spend several thousand to get the "better" version.....right
Toadtorrent
I just got my Beginmariner from Josh, and it is wokky as well. Upon closer inspection, the case serial on the picture on Josh's site shows # F520117 which is the same case number as the famed TTK Noobmariner which is why I wanted his Beginmariner which has the proper rehaut. The case number I have on the one that was delivered is # F432118, and the case reference number is 16710T which is the case for the GMT Master II, and NOT the Sub's 16610T. I think this might account for the rehaut being off. Other QC issues are that the crystal is installed crooked so the etched crown at '6 is closer to 6:05. I'm awaiting an answer from Josh on this...hopefully he comes through.
Kollektor
Wokkiness is my pet peeve as well, fellas. Rehaut thickness, too.

Kollektor
Missed that one, Mate. Indeed an audible snort of approval from me. I snort like a pig when laughing. By the by, not all the Subs suffer from Stir Fry Syndrome, so there is hope, ye of little faith. That bevel really does become a serious eye sore once you start obsessing over it.
