Rolexman Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 (edited) So you bought an original bezel insert and dial?..... or did it came that way? Edited August 5, 2006 by Rolexman
kdo2milger Posted August 5, 2006 Author Report Posted August 5, 2006 So you bought an original bezel insert and dial?..... or did it came that way? it came as you see it, best rep straight outta the box in my opinion
By-Tor Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 (edited) it came as you see it, best rep straight outta the box in my opinion Possibly. I hope to own this rep one of these days, I love it. And without any bias I'd say the new TAG Link Chrono is a good challenger. Perhaps not technically, but at least visually. Edited August 5, 2006 by By-Tor
Pugwash Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 And without any bias I'd say the new TAG Link Chrono is a good challenger. ... and the IWC 3707-003? No, it's got two tells.
Bazz Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I also have one of these, its my favorite rep by far. Nice box too.
triplehd Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 it came as you see it, best rep straight outta the box in my opinion Opinon ? Hell, it's a FACT - best rep outta the box - HE valve in the correct position as well as the bezel insert - you never see those features with today's reps ! Congrats.....if you ever get bored of having two of the same watches, I would be more than happy to take one of your wrist, I mean hand, I mean wrist
Perfectionist Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 They don't make 'em like they used ta .....
jeff g Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Here is my old school 007. Beautiful Black on black. Like you I really feel this is one of my all time favorites. However, THIS beauty here, has to be my number one.
sashwatch Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 nice omega's there.. i think they are one of the best REP available today..
ubiquitous Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 kdo- You have some truly unique SMP's there... And absolutely gorgeous! Keepers, no doubt!
madmex Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Heres my 007 i got from Eddie 2yrs ago. I liked it soooooooooo much, i bought 2 from him Absolutely outstanding. I'd never think that's a rep. Everything from the bracelet to the hands and dial are spot-on.
Bigshooter Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Possibly. I hope to own this rep one of these days, I love it. And without any bias I'd say the new TAG Link Chrono is a good challenger. Perhaps not technically, but at least visually. I wish you'd stop bragging about your TAG - I never wanted one in my life. (until now) Sweet watch - BTW the Omega is killer too - not trying to take the thread off topic!
r11co Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 What's with these 'old skool' Seamasters coming out the closet again all of a sudden??!! No complaints here though (except that I hesitated at the time and missed them..) I could look at these all day, but the drool will wreck my keyboard. PS. I'd agree about the TAG Link chrono BTW!!!
Perfectionist Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 How much did the "old" SMP's cost at the time ?
r11co Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 River quoted me $250. I thought it was a lot at the time, but then I was an idiot at the time....
