I like it!

It's unique and I'm all for that.

Steve

I've seen a photo with a Pam over the sleave and quite liked it... Is it too silly to go out of the house like this?

Opinions please... :)

Also... Audemars Piget suggest to T3 owners to wear their watch over their sleeve...

Maybe because it is HUGE and there is no other way to wear it :p

I've seen pictures of Ralph Lauren wearing his 2/56 Egiziano over the sleeve of his leather jacket before...

Seen in the last time several people (80% women) wearing their watches on the sleeve... personaly i dislike it... but you have to know yourself if you feel comfartable with it or not...

More in the subject... from an article on Panerai

To wear a big watch, though, certain logistical hurdles have to be cleared. Sometimes it’s hard to get your shirt cuff over the watch. An obvious issue to the shirt wearers, but really I assume that if you are into this kind of thing, one would hardly cover it, indeed Ralph Lauren agrees. At a recent fashion show in Milan, Lauren wore his Panerai over the sleeve of a leather jacket.

"It wasn’t ridiculous," Lauren said.

But the idea of a watch so big that it has to be strapped over clothing sends some traditionalists into fits.

From another article about watches:

This seems to be part of the larger discussion about oversized watches vs. the more traditional sub-40mm mens watch size. Perhaps in 15 years people will be arguing about those new gawd-awful 38mm watches that are so out of proportion with the standard 46 mm JLC Extreme World Chonograph. What about strapping those big honkin’ chronos on the “outside” of one’s shirt sleeve? In a couple of decades this could be traditional. Be the change.

I think it looks wanky... like you're trying to show everyone your watch....

LOOK AT ME... I HAVE A (FAKE) PANERAI ON!!!

(jumping up and down putting your watch in their face)

I think it would be fine in Europe :)

But in the US, no...

We Americans generally have zero fashion sense. But then what do I know, I wear my Utilikilts in public :whistling:

I saw that the VP of Cartier UK also wears it over the sleeve but he says its just to show peple how proud I am of my watch. Not sure it would work for us so don't do it ;)

Ok.. we can take away the fact that the watch is a rep... If it was a genuine same opinions?

Id wear my watch over the sleve only if it was freezing cold winter time and the sleve would be my winter jacket one. I wouldnt have to pop up my sleve to see whats the time :)

Otherwise it looks pretty silly

gianni agnielli (ceo of fiat and ferrari) was wearing his watch like this.

jean cocteau too.

it's a master of taste. i like this way of wearing if the color of the strap is the same as the color of the garment.

Not the look for me. I wear my altimeter watch on the outside of my sleeve when I'm climbing/running in cold weather. Other than that, the watch stays under my sleeve. Of course, you could always roll the sleeve up a bit or push them up the the middle of your forearm.

Climb on.
