  1. Finally put the original dial back on the black monster. I think this must be close to 20 years old now.

  3. Andrew came through again as always, It was a flawless transaction as usual. Quick dealing and a Pro in this business for already many many years. After a long long wait, finally the new beloved PAM087 is launched I never owned a diver version like these, once I heard the announcement of this specific version being launched I was hooked. Main reason was the blue dial. I had to wait a bit longer compared to other members due to a shipping delay here in the Netherlands. But then again, ordering during Christmas time is a pain in the a$$. We all know what to expect this time of the year regarding shipping time. But finally it's in my hands and WOW... Amazing quality IMO, I really like the watch. Expectations were high on this one and I must admit they came through! The dial is very well made and changes by color each time depending on the light. Sometimes the dial seems almost black and then again when the light hits the dial...BANG... Blue all the way! My doubts were there, but only regarding the strap. But as many members like me already stated... the strap is really well made and good looking, pics really don't do justice on this strap. Very nice stitching and it does match perfectly with the lume, the strap is butter soft and therefore very comfortable to wear. The bezel is nicely brushed and the details are superb if you ask me. The crystal is also very clear. Really nothing to complain about. On one of the pics below you can see the nice texture on the dial, super crisp to look at, thumbs up! I tried an ASSO (assolutamente) strap and had it on for just one day, I changed back again to the REP strap I actually cannot find a single lack of quality which I noticed regarding this watch. But, probally the die hard PAM heads will do have a thing or two to complain about as usual, but not me. REP of the year...? Perhaps yes!!! As always I made many pics for those who are still on the fence, hope you enjoy! 6. those cases look so close to gen its scary. I have always been against buying expensive reps - regardless how "gen" it is - its not a genuine piece. Put it in perspective, I picked up a genuine 16750 a few years back for $2.8K and it also came with a bracelet....something to think about

  7. I hope this will help, but this is the best PAM000 you can currently get, from H maker

  8. If it is scrutinized, just remember that all Rollie GMT reps have the so called "wrong hand stack", which means that while in the gen the order of the hands (from the top) is seconds, minutes, GMT and hour hand, in the reps they are seconds, minutes, hour and GMT. 10. Hi, and welcome to the "affliction". Stick with the 2836 movement. They have been cloning this movement for many years now and we know that in most cases it functions well.

  11. Pros and cons... Not too bad a buy at $2k imho as a 5512/13/1680 project will run about the same if you go with an Eta in a Phong case and high grade GMT projects are 'rare' compared to 5513 etc. Otoh a 5512/13 with Yuki case/dial and genuine 1520/1570 will also cost about $2000...but you will have to deal with an expen$ive rolex movement and all the ills that go with them. Example...I have a no hack 1575 date that loses time on some days and runs on time on others. Magnetized? No. Dirty and dry? No. Canon pinion slips? No. Balance staff rough or a cracked jewel? No. If it was an Eta I could just swap it out but being a cussed $rolex$ I need to fix it. It lost 20 minutes yesterday but is running on time today. On a timer it is within a few bps in all positions. The catch with GMT and 1655 projects with a genuine movement is you will probably spend a small fortune rounding up GMT parts and for this reason the 2893 is a very good choice...except for the 28800 beat rate and no one will notice except maybe a red and blue watch junkie. So...it still seems like a pretty good deal to me (considering current prices) and you can always sell it on the forum if and when you want to make a change. Free advice...please do not 'artificially age' the case because so many have been ruined in the attempt. Just wear it and stay out of rock piles and hammer mills. 13. A tip... Give the buckle a rub with a nailbuffer on "fine" then "smooth" for a beautiful satin look. The "stock" overpolished buckle feels a bit cheapish otherwise (same for the Rolex one they have).

  15. 7753 will probably need the reposition of the stem because the modified 7750 has 2 plates more between the dial and the original 7750 unmodified. Ask Walter (the owner of the shop I and alligoat linked), he had them and I bought one sec @9 7750 with 3-6-9 config from him 1 year ago. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

  16. Sorry to hear this, but unfortunately it is not uncommon. I have worked in Behavioral Health for 20+ years and many people struggle with mental illness and go untreated/unhelped. It has improved, but there is still a negative stigma towards mental illness which I believe is a factor of why people do not seek help and even if they do are not supported in a way that increases positive outcomes. In general, people show empathy/compassion when someone suffers from cancer or heart disease, but much less so with mental illness. Even though both conditions are biological/genetic in nature. Sure environment and lifestyle are influencers but a majority of conditions are predominantly biological and inherited. Be nice if at some point in my life society's view of this changes...I do presentations/lectures all the time to increase awareness and reduce stigma, but we still have a long way to go.
