  4. Toro sorry my friend he can ask but that is all he can do. We allow pics of QC here unlike other RWG this forum exist to safeguard members interest first and formost all other considerations are secondary.

  5. Yes, I have seen the posts, I am sorry to say. On the other hand, the posts about the garbage being sold as Swiss movements are not consistent with my personal experience, but that may be because I have bought a few reps over the years, mostly from the same TD, and I would be very surprised if he sold me anything that was not as he described it to be. In addition to these Rolexes, I have Pams, Omegas, Breitlings, etc. Over the years, I have developed good reason to trust my "Trusted Dealers." I've had many of my watches worked on and I've yet to be told my "Gen Swiss Movement" was actually some sort of cloned junk. The GMT 2893s, ETA 2836s, Lemania, and 6497 movements have always been legit. We also have guys who hand build their products, many of whom have come and gone over the years. It would be hard for me to imagine them risking their reputations by pawning off junk as Swiss. I've never dealt with TC (Thomas Caddell), but I have read much of his published work, and I suspect that the recommendation by someone responding previously was a good one. Still, sad to say, many of our members that I consider to be perfectly credible have complained that they have not gotten what they paid for from dealers on this Forum, so a newbie may very well have something to worry about these days. 7. This kicked off when I snapped up a gen case and bezel on Ebay for $150. This made up for a long period of regretting not getting one of those Roling cases years ago! I then sourced a bunch of other bits without realising Matt was also a source. - Gen case, back, bezel, dial, tube, crown, date wheel with open font - TC Super 2824–2 - Clarks hands - Raffles Time movement holder #2 - Donerix strap - Aftermarket Rolex 16mm buckle (from another watch, so can't remember who from) Two slight set backs... the TC movement arrived at Matt's without the higher H4 pinion and Matt had to cope. Also the gen crown had a thread problem, so Matt swapped it with his supplier for a better one for not much money. Good guy. I ummmed and ahhhed about the strap. Had it on a grey and blue nato for a few days but my wife thought that wasn't dressy enough. She normally just says, "Whatever", so it must have been pretty lacklustre. So I was looking for some of the texture of a jubilee, but not the bling, when I spotted this Donerix in his sale. It's as fat as a jubilee and hard to get on and off actually, as it's rather stiff through the buckle. I preferred to play it down a bit with the two-tone. Enjoy... Oh yeah, original crystal too... left a bit of patina.

  9. What's happening when you where the watch without manually winding it? Does it run down or does it continue to run beyond 48 hours?

  11. MW I have a gen Breitling that I wore for years and still love. I could afford Another gen or two, but not the 10 watches I have now. Some of the reps I have would be $20k - $30k as gens. Out of my league. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Beautiful collection, and a nicely rounded one at that. If you've collected all of those after only 12 weeks, it's going to be an expensive (albeit enjoyable) 12 months. You've got the bug for sure!

  14. Some completed rough draft morning shots. I have a vintage matching "808" strap on its way. Once that comes in I can mount it on and give this beauty the proper run way treatment  3602 Molnija engine with Dext engraved bridges Case reshaped, softened and polished
