  1. Me too! It would be great to receive the new cyclops flawless and soon to bring the ar coating project forward.
  2. Yep! @ archi: I tried to sent a pm but your box seems to be full?!
  3. Unfortunately not on my 239 When I checked time yesterday again and again I figured out something very strange (which of course is an indicator to me that the mvt. is simply defect!): After loosing time suddenly it went too fast. i corrected it and two hours later the same effect. Last correction late nite. Today in the morning it went 3 (!) hours late. Will send that scrab back and that's it!
  4. Just received an email from the seller: He will send out another one on monday. As said before: He is one of the trusted guys here. Nevertheless it is a pity because any waiting time for a new watch is a hard time for a collector and when the new baby finally arrives it isn't funny to figure out issues.... Anyway: I am waiting for the new one and hope that it will work fine.
  5. Arrrgh yesterday I wrote a little review and posted some pics of my new toy. I received it about 36 hours ago and when I put it on yesterday it was running in C.O.S.C. quality. When I woke up this morning I was happy to wear my new 239 for the weekend. But GOSH what has happened overnite? The mvt. went 11 minutes slow!!! I corrected the time and had breakfast together with my family. It took about one hour. In the meantime the watch was running slow 1:30 min. again I tried to correct the time again but then the crown stem slipped through several times. I wrote an email to the seller (who is one of the trusted guys here and I often ordered from him). I asked for sending me another item. I hope he will do so because I was that happy with the 239 first that I ordered (and paid) a second one for my son yesterday. I hope he will get me two nice working watches asap, we will see..... I will keep you informed how the story ends...... But first enjoy a couple of further pics: Cross your fingers that the story will come to a good end....
  6. Hi Pedro, unfortunately it is not the case back. It is the thread of the case. I will need an entire case kit to get it fixed but I received some offers. Will take further time but it isn't really a problem to get it fixed soon. Best, Frank
  7. Just received my new toy - a PAM239 (please see my post HERE) and it will be my daily rocker this weekend.
  8. When I placed my pre-order on Angus' new EVO chrono and heard that the release will be delayed I decided to comfort myself and to reduce the waiting time by enjoying another new baby I decided to purchase my first destro/ lefty and believe me that watch is a Killer! The sapphire crystal does not show an AR coating but that will be fixed soon. The mag factor of the lens isn't that great but clear and without distortion. The dial is well made especially the subdial looks quite nice. The lume is bright but goes down faster then SL. The watch is engined by the new asian 7750 with 28'800 bph and is currently running fast 3 sec. per day which is C.O.S.C. quality. I am liking the completely brushed case and bracelet. It feels very smooth and the colour is between steel and Titanium. That watch is truly a beauty and today I ordered another one for my son! Enjoy these quick wrist shots (sorry for the quality):
  9. Angus, as the the pre-order duration ends in two days: Are current pics of the entire watches available? I guess all members who ordered and pre-paid would be really interested
  10. Probably we could start a first run of all crystals with no cyclops? Just an idea. I really don't know how much interested members we are and if my suggestion makes a sense. I am ready to go with PAM196 and IWC Inge crystals which don't need a cyclops swap first. As said: Just an idea...
  11. Thanks Mark and again my appologies for my thoughtnesless I'll be back to you due to my 7753 DW in few days as pm'ed.
  12. Oops, since I gave my PAM029 away I didn't follw that thread any longer.... i amguilty, no doubt but I will take that DW nevertheless because Mark did a great job and I won't get you any lost. Again: I appologize and hope I will not get a place on a black list. PM sent to Mark for payment instructions.
  13. That's what I did today on my PAM050. Worked perfectly! Let's cross our fingers for reaching the magic 40!!!
  14. Rob, I hope you will prefer good customers who made payment always quick? Yes, I want some yard sale pieces!!!!!!!
  15. Hi there, a long time ago I purchased a pre-worn PAM050 in a quite good shape. I serviced it a few days ago and everything was fine. Yesterday suddenly the case back has fallen off I meant to have screwn down the case back correctly. I put it back to the case and it seems that the thread isn't fine any longer. The case doesn't sit tight but turns and turn and turns.... I am sure (I've got some experience in watch work) that I didn't screw the case back too tight and that I didn't damage the thread by myself. Does anybody made the same experience? I am afraid I will need a new case/ case back for my 050. Maybe there is a member who could help me in this? An idea would be to fix the case back by glue but honestly that's not what I would like. Thanks a lot.
  16. As far as I am understanding we are first gauging interest? Or has a deadline already been mentioned? I will need some time to get my both crystals removed...
  17. Yes, I know but I did the search for a long time and I had to come to a decision. Now I ordered the Ricoh R5 which is a pretty nice allrounder and small enough to take it with me at any time (it also have a 7x optical zoom ) Oops, I guess that's off topic.... @ elprimerozen: thanks for postings your pics of the 2nd gen Evo. Please allow to give an advice: There is an obvious feature of the the 2nd generation which kept me away from a purchase: The wrong case size which is just 42,5mm . That’s a remarkable improvement on Angus’ Evo: The case’s size is 1:1 which means 43,7mm in diameter. That’s what made me deciding to place my order (besides all the other improvements, indeed).
  18. Angus, you made my day I will email you tomorrow due to payment, okay?
  19. I am planning to paypal Angus tomorrow. But I am also a little upset because there are no current pics of the final product and the per-order ends on Jan. 10th which -I think so- is too soon. I am not owning a Big Bang but I am really hoping that the new EVO will be much better and not a disappointment. I am thinking about an extensive review, too. I am waiting for a new digicam with pretty good macro function (1 cm) and wide-angle lens and would be happy to share some detailed pics then. It will need further time but that's the plan I hope Angus' word is bond and he will fully refund us if the new pics are shown after the pre-order and we will not like the new EVO. But actually I think that watch will be a nice one
