  1. When you start seeing a $2K to $3K price variance in the TT models from the SS, you are also getting diamonds, MOP dials or Gold Sub Dials. I just got my 2010 Price guide and comparing base SS to base TT, you are only looking at $1K in price difference. Oh come on...what not go solid gold? Back in the fall, a AD near me was closing their doors and had a solid gold, MOP, full diamond bezel and bracelet marked down form $85K to $50K. Some yound kid bought it. It was the ugliest Ling I have ever seen!
  2. No amount of heat caused by a fire is going to make the case pit like that. Wonder if the owner was into diving into some deep depths as high levels chloride will cause this kind of damage in 316 SS.
  3. Is that C3 lume, as it glows brighter then the gens and seems to be more yellow/greenish then the white hands? Wish the Gens glowed like that!
  4. They should give you the option to have them replaced at cost to you. Can get price though. Had a Windrider with come nast corrosion in the links from the pins...cost me $300 to have to cleaned up and looking like new. That is ridiculous! What model was it out of curiosity?
  5. Anyone else getting dizzy being run circles by this link?
  6. How do you figure and who feed you this line of BS? Guess Breitling is just false advertising with "Croco" stamped in the back of their straps… Have you ever had a Gen Breilting Leather or Croco band? The two could not feel or act more different when examined side by side. They also wear different. The croco is much stiffer of a hide and takes some time to wear in and conforms to your wrist. I generally have to replace a Breitling leather strap every 2-3 years du to wear. I am yet to replace one of my Croco straps and I wear them more then the leather. The pricing difference between the SS and TT is less then $1000 on most models, so what would be a fair price increase for steel wrapped in gold? For a full gold model you step up into the $35K price range for a BCE. Understand too that if the pieces were solid gold, you could wear the watch for about 6 months before it fell off your wrist because the SS link would wear into and destroy the gold link, as gold is so soft.
  7. I am sure you could get someone like BlackBard here to make you up a strap. I have not see rep bracelets of these as this is a low end rep. Then Gen bracelet will not mount to it.
  8. What looks funny is "1" on the actual DW, is not even the same between 31, 1, 10...etc.
  9. You have to remember there are MULTIPLE manufactures out there building multiple variants. I am sure each one references what they have built in the past to make new models and NOT reinvent the wheel. Don't forget in the World of reps close is good enough for these guys as the manufactures know we will buy them. Simple fix you would think...but if that were the case, then we would have reps that are PERFECT to the gens.
  10. Do it! Been thinking about doing a Bentley GT just for the green combination as it is pure racecar inspired!
  11. My money is on that they use the same case. Hence the same movement hold down locations. Hence a GMT module without the gearing. Without the GMT module or spacer, they would need a new case with movement anchor points closer to the dial. Just my best educated guess.
  12. Because then we would have nothing to complain about.
  13. That is the issue with the Breilting deployment
  14. That is what I thought...thanks for the confirmation!
  15. Galactic just replaces the Chrono Cockpit at 39mm. How come no one is complaining about the sunken DW not being fixed?
  16. YOU put what into what? Sorry buddy could not resist!
  17. I think it is hit or miss regarding what movements this is on. As Z, said, he came across this about 2 years ago. The watch i am working on, is at least a year old if not more.
  18. You are correct Antstar, Gen...if someone is willing to pay "out the nose" for it..might as well go gen! The Rep makers are not going to updates these models to fix the issues. Sunken DW are the norm. and that is not likely to change around here
  19. Z, I was hopping you would chime in as I figured you of all people would know about this! Thanks for chiming in! Do you know if this a Asian Innovation? Cheers Buddy!
  20. This movement has the typical day indicator drive wheel as you can see in the pics. This watch only has a date function, no day. I do not see why this design could not be used as well for the day change.
