  1. I think the gun bluing process is etched into our German DNA, so we are born knowing how to do it.
  2. You can locally apply the solution with a cotton swab so it will not even touch your lume.
  3. Not really, you just clean them with a little dish soap and toss them in for a few moments, pull them out, rinse with water, coat with oil over night (to cure) and clean them up come morning. Going to come down to what material the hands are made from.
  4. I don’t see this as being very complicated to do. Outside of the base drive train, you would just need some thing similar to your date change feature on every other watch.... Just need it to cycle ever 60 seconds...off course I am sure I am under stating the amount of work got into this piece.
  5. Don't have a Skyland, but I do have a SA
  6. Thank you sir! Really nothing but a little PS.
  7. As in for a A7750 dial to be used with the 7753 movement? "Slightly" is about 2-3mm. Your DW will be so wide that you will see the teeth of the Date Wheel. Here is a overlay of a Pam 250 I did with 7753 and A7750 w/ 3,6,9 subdial layout. The "20" in the DW is the A7750.
  8. Congrats buddy! Guess I need to start doing more +1's, and get my count up!
  9. The LANGE ZEITWERK by A. Lange & Söhne does a much better job showing time in "Digital Like" PURE CLASS!
  10. Why do you feel you need a Cobalt drill? I have held a Journeyman's card as a metal model maker for 12 years, drilling through some pretty tough stuff and have never needed a cobalt drill bit. Unless you are working with ceramic, all you need is too keep the bit sharp and know how to use it. Believe it or not, most people do not know how to use drill bits properly and apply WAY too much pressure to them. Do understand I only ask, as a lot of people are suckered into paying 3X more for some thing they are told they need, yet really don't need it. Here is who I deal with. Production Tool & Supply M
  11. I use Radico +1, I do the same with a piece of clear plastic wrap. I also only use fresh Rodico to move the hands into position for setting.
  12. Was just talking to Sixx yesterday
  13. The A7750 Movement is also taller then the 7753. This means the movement holders are up higher and would need to be modified. As you said, the big issue is the Date Window location in the dial is too close to center compared to the 7753. I can't get over everyone being upset about the sunken DW. We all knew this was going to be the case, yet some seem shocked by this. It is a rep, if the sunken DW is going to be the deal breaker for you, buy the Gen.
  14. I used to swim with my SOSF all the time. Never had it pressure tested. I finally pressure tested it before selling it here and it passed at 30ATM. 30ATM is about 990ft., so I would say it was good for 1000 ft.
  15. Why force yourself to make the decision...get both.
  16. Avitt, What coarseness of aluminum oxide did you use?
  17. Our dealer leather rep. Breilting straps are very nice! I have bought a couple from both Josh and Andrew and was very pleased with them. Most members around here will tell you the same.
  18. Dial ONLY. No idea why they are just removing the dial and not selling the entire piece.
