  1. got a side shot? would love to see the case and bezel thickness
  2. that about sums it up. the first gen tudor is a now a collectible since they dont make ones with rose dials anymore. so many sellers list their 20 year old watches with a description of "todays price", "when rolex raises prices on a model that has little in common with one from 20 years ago i too will raise my prices." Nowhere else have i seen this. only on Rolex pieces. they even made those flawed damaged "spider" dials into something special, rare, and collectible. as for the black bay. i actually like the shield dial and the addition of the cosc in house movement. that red print dial is great, if only it werent on a PVD case and bracelet. and i dont know what theyre doing bringing back that rivet bracelet. hopefully the bracelet has some sort of quick divers adjustment, which the first gen was lacking.
  3. it says a miyota quartz, and water resistant very nice
  4. http://www.tudorwatch.com/magazine/article/baselworld-2016 rivet bracelets are back, lug holes, and a red sub with in house COSC movement. a bronze black bay that ages with wear, and an explorer I type 36mm black bay
  5. insert looks good. dial print looks good. what i think happened is the service dial is lumi even though it says tritium so they probably painted over it to get rid of the glow and did a terrible job, decided to cut their losses and sell it. does the back of the dial have the rolex hallmark?
  6. that movement part looks like the dial foot clip. i guess if you had to choose any movement part to fall off that would be it.
  7. there were a lot of inconsistencies between MBK cases, some had better crown heights than others, some had better inserts than others (better numeral print and black finish), some had better 93150 bracelets than others (thicker, with brushed sides instead of polished sides). all within the same batch. i would buy 15-30 at a time back in 2012 and resell them. i even had some come with clone movements that were nickel plated with a pearlage finish back then.
  8. well lets see. ROLEX FINDER 2016 MBK 5513 here are two MBKs i had from 2012 first up 5513. second SD 1665
  9. depends on the price i'd say. looks like a viet case
  10. looks like a yuki build. rolex 1680 white no date mag crystal so 25-19 with a jubilee bracelet. gen service lumi insert. not sure bout the dial, could be gen.
  11. hate to burst your bubble but i dont think a geiger counter can detect tritium. radium, yes.
  12. why not get the yuki pearl? had one, it was decent enough.
  13. heh, yup. was trying to figure out which model they actually offered when i saw this. datejust of some kind perhaps condo sales are down like 30% now that you cant see the waterfront from the top of the CN tower. house prices are up 18%. rolex always increase their prices to keep up with inflation. but id love to see them raise prices here, our economy is in the toilet, interest rates will be raised and mortgages will need to be paid. not to mention 2015 was the worst year since 2009 for the swiss watch industry shrinking by almost 5%. if they raise prices who'd wanna buy a steel no date sub for over $10K ? especially when you can get a tudor pelagos cosc for under $5k. i am curious about if / when (probably) they ratify the TPP, how that will effect our import of rolex trademarked products, the U.S can not import rolex watches or parts because of IP.
  14. 2783 is also slightly different with regard to the reversing wheels not having jewels and the movement uses little annoying clips that love to fly across the room in certain places. get a 2846 instead. id only buy a 2783 if a watch i was restoring used that as the original movement.
  15. they help resale. but if you dont plan on reselling it, then who cares. when you service it with RSC youd get a confirmation of authenticity anyways. some people like complete sets, but again if you dont care and save $$$ then i wouldnt care
  16. looks like you found a date disc that insert you have looks like a yuki one whats your budget for inserts?
  17. the damage to the 15 on the DW ruins it, the other damage could be touched up. movement looks clean otherwise i have an unbrushed gen rolex silver (looks white, is not) date disc for this movement that im not using.
  18. kind of looks like a seamaster 300. no offense but id get a better case if you want it to look like a 5517. if youre happy with it as is, then great!
  19. ive been eyeing this K serial 16710. $5k http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=7137547&rid=0
