  1. Domed is wrong for the 1680. But then this the low end of the vintage Rollie rep market so you can't really expect accurate details. What you need is a tropic 127... Aftermarket (fleabay item no. 110185714466) Genuine (160175650449) But be WARNED! My advice would be to go aftermarket as it's pretty unlikely a gen crystal will fit your non 1:1 vintage case anyway. Even the aftermarket may need glueing, it's pretty much pot luck depending on the specs of your case.
  2. Harley - why have you just edited the pic of 'your' 1655 four hours after posting, to show a pic of a gen?
  3. 10,008 views Suckers!!!! *walks out the thread door slamming the door behind him*
  4. Hmmm. You see this is what happens when the soulless marketing goons get too much power. The F1 orange dial monstrosity was clearly meant to be Alonso's 'piece' - see the video and read the blurb But of course the Finnish guy who sneaked the win is also an ambassador so they had to run that congratulatory ad with the F1 photoshopped to his wrist. The blurb also talks about a "joint" Hamilton-Alonso Calibre S, but somewhere along the line probably when they expected the Brit to win, Alonso got dropped from the dial (doesn't bode well for his sponsorship does it ). Oh and there's some nod to the Finn getting an eyewear range, but frankly who gives a crap. In other words, what a fecking mess! The part I love (as in 'hate') most is where all these guys talk about their "input" on the design...yeah right keep telling yourself that fellas
  5. Interesting, but just another ruse when all said and done. This really is one for the Auction Scam area, that's what it's there for
  6. I'll shamelessly bump it for that very same reason
  7. As The Zigmeister said, sometimes things just have to be said. Whatever the details of what went down back then Gran, I personally couldn't care less, it's all ancient history which is where it should remain along with mentions of the likes of Klink, RBJ, Johnnyboy et al. That you yourself were involved and implicated is not a problem for me, you apologised and were welcomed back here...rightly so. But then have the sense to not make pointless and patronising references to that time and some of the dubious members back then as if they were something that they're patently not. Especially when it wasn't your finest hour. Trust me, it doesn't do you any favours and just comes across as ill-judged and unhelpful.
  8. Ok I accept the 'screams rep' was a bit OTT, and the gen TAG owners comment is true . But as I said it's nice for the price and I may consider one of these to give as a Xmas gift, should of course the source be revealed
  9. Euno, what the hell is that clip??? Some sort of classic 70's Italian lesbian vampire film??? This thread has become one for the Loony Bin methinks
  10. Nasty cough you have there Nanuq, must be contagious Not sure why though, don't worry it's not THAT over-hyped iGadget, merely the superior and latest iPod (Touch)
  11. I don't have hi-res scans nor do I have digital calipers to measure my DW. Since Stilty has now said he has a similar DW on the way, then it seems there's no need anyway.Stilty, keeping a close eye on this project, good luck It was indeed Lello.
  12. You really are full of it aren't you? I've been around the boards a long time, on RWG-I and TRC before that, but still have no idea what you're muttering on about or indeed the relevance here. I also see I'm not the only one who thinks you're spouting nonsense. The only thing you said that made any sense just now was the use of the word "mindless" to describe these long-forgotten supposed discussions. We're interested in the movements not this revisionist history you seem to love banging on about. Since you love talking about the old days, why don't we discuss your inglorious history as a mod at the old board and your uncanny impression of Nero, fiddling whilst RWG-I burned? No??? Thought not. The Zigmeister, sorry to crap your thread, just carrying out some pest control
  13. Pic of my c.1570 DW - will this help?
  14. I'm not sure nor do I much care what Klink has to do with this (what, is he the Nostradamus of asian movement clones? ), but regardless, it's not really an appropriate or relevant comment to post now is it?
  15. Ach, you know it wouldn't be the same - there's something about the claustrophobia of the cubicle, the extreme discomfort, the lack of privacy, the thrill of being caught, trying not to crease her stewardess' uniform......
  16. Err but it IS for a modern SD!!! For it to fit you just need to mill the backside to fit your rep.
  17. Mmmmm still waiting on the call from my AD to say he's procured me one. Almost had one last week, but another branch refused to part saying it was put aside for customer who was on holiday Not sure about the possibility of a rep in the near future, although last time I spoke to Angus, he said he'd try and push it up the priority list. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=45236
  18. Nice piece love that '60s dial font. Insert and pearl ageing info would be appreciated
  19. There is no such thing as a UPO Chrono
  20. Hmmm, as long as you're happy that it's not accurate and screams rep at twenty paces (fantasy date-version, quartz with wrong-spaced subdials) then fine. Looks decently made, bezel and case etc. Rubber strap looks the same version as 7750 daydate but caseback is definitely not the same (diver helmet engraving is not good) and is probably thinner for the quartz movt. But not bad for a budget choice I suppose.
  21. Actually he doesn't have a personal 'ambassador' endorsement role for Omega like Brosnan did, so any watch he wears is his own choice. Funny you mention that Pug, he does say due to the box-office takings he was "sorted out"
  22. Amazing collection Of course, now all you need is a watch for every strap
  23. Where's Rico when we need him?! Pic was from a shoot for GQ, which also includes a same-day shot piece on one of his chosen charities, the RNLI (excellent choice Mister Bond ). In the accompanying interview he mentions he's tied up until December and then after the holiday he starts shooting on Bond 22.
