  1. The Noobfactory web site address? Surely you're kidding. The only Noobfactory web site you'll find is a major scam site and rip off. You think one of the largest illegal counterfeiters in China would be dumb enough to have a web site. Even most of the dealers don't know where the factory is located.
  2. You might as well just go ahead and order a couple of spares today.
  3. I agree with BC1221. Sometimes that works. But I find it a lot easier just to loosen the movement in the case by removing the movement tabs. Then you can get the wiggle room to make sure the stem is properly aligned without getting your dirty fingers all over everything
  4. Way too rough. If you're going to use sandpaper, which I wouldn't recommend, start with about 1200 grit wet or dry.
  5. I wish Ssteel was in the US. He sure seems like the most responsive and responsible of the many forum repair guys.
  6. I got the info on those from a web site that specialized in repair and refinishing Rolex watches and he said the same thing. Since i usually don't get any deep scratches I just use the 000, which is supposedly closest to the actual Rolex finish.
  7. From Home Depot: Just make sure you go in a straight line and you'll be just fine.
  8. Sorry, no eBay link. I found him a couple years ago on eBay but have only used his e mail to contact him since. Lot's of folks over on RG and RWI have used him through my recommendation and I've never heard anything but good compliments about his product.
  9. Here's another seller that I've had excellent luck with. Same bracelet as far as I can tell as those $200 ones. He's also an eBay seller but you can contact him direct and he will send full QC pictures. Nice guy to deal with and the gold wrapped ones are in the $70 range. Specify that you want a branded one to get the Rolex markings. riyi002@sina.com
  10. Yes, they are both legit. Intime is a favorite dealer over on RWI, Not sure where or if Kuvarsit is a TD but he is well known on all the forums.
  11. That's quite a piece of art but any $10 quartz will keep just as good time, if not better.
  12. Wow Nightwatch. I guess you are suggesting that we should all just accept anything that comes in the mail and either fix it ourselves or enjoy it as a project to fix since it's OK to send a piece of crap to another member? Somehow that just doesn't sit right with me. Hope I'm misreading you, and call me old fashioned but I don't accept your premise at all. I know that I and lots of others could probably fix it and move on. But a lot of others can't and shouldn't be expected to be watch smiths every time they buy a watch from M2M sales.
  13. I agree 100% and That's my biggest gripe with the forum. Once you buy, it sure seems like you're mostly on your own. Mike On a Bike seems to be taking on a lot of responsibility lately and maybe things are getting better. I love the knowledge base here but unfortunately there has never seemed to be much moderation on sales. The first and only watch that I bought on this site was one of the worst buying experience of my watch collecting hobby. But back to your problem. The only thing you can do at this point is probably name and shame the seller and leave him negative feedback. Maybe he'll have the cajones to show up and explain his side of the story.
  14. Sounds like you bought a Sub insert. Try Clark's Watch Parts on eBay.
  15. Radiomir won't take the faux spring bars.
  16. I guess the little kid that was putting it together in his bedroom had to take a nap before finishing the last little bit and his mother shipped it out unfinished..
  17. How did you move the "Hamilton" from the 12 o'clock position to the 9 o'clock? They look awesome.
  18. If it's really got a Swiss movement, it would be foolish to replace it. Fixing the date mechanism could be very simple.
  19. If you're looking for Rolex style brushed finish, here's what I use. Picked up the tip from a gen watch forum. It's available at Home Depot. Also, the wet or dry sandpaper works fine also.
  20. AFAIK, the H5 is the tallest set available. You can Google the 2893-2 specifications and find a drawing showing the installed heights. If you are making the hands, why not just make longer tubes? For disassembly :http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/2892a2/2892a2.html
  21. From Cousin's UK: H5 set ETA2890242H290 ETA 2890 242 Cannon Pinion With Drive Wheel, Height 2.90mm ETA2890227H561 ETA 2890 227 Center Seconds Fourth Wheel, Height 5.61mm ETA289322558H204 ETA 2893.2 2558 Double Toothed Hour Wheel, Height 2.04mm
  22. It may have started life as an ETA many years ago but the only thing left that could be called ETA is maybe a few parts. That seems to be one of the ETA movements that has been turned into a POS fake Rolex movements. I certainly would never call that an ETA.
