Most probably not. If none of the dealers here can find it for you, you can be 95% sure it's not available. They all buy from the same watch markets in China. You'd be much better off buying the watch from a trusted dealer and then searching separately for the rubber strap.

I hope the guy you bought it from makes good on this. My guess is he's telling you about some "project" that he didn't complete, but he's really dumping a bogus part after finding out he got screwed.

Let's not get too carried away. Nobody's going to come take you to jail for wearing a rep. It's not even against the law to own one in the US and the old wife's tale of an AD confiscating your watch and destroying it is a fantasy of someone's over active imagination. It will probably [censored] them off immensely though that you would bring one into their store.

Sellita is a quite good Swiss movement. For years they were a supplier to ETA so I wouldn't worry about their quality. I'd personally rather have a new Sellita than some of the old and often refurbished ETA movements that come in a lot of reps these days.

Opening a case back isn't brain surgery. You should have immediately opened it up. Roll up a strip of duct tape with the sticky side out, Use a lot of pressure and turn. "Lefty, Loosey". Then dry it out in a warm dry place. On a sunny widow sill for instance. Then use a little silicone grease on the case seal and close it back up. Make sure the back is tight and also open the crown and put a little grease inside the crown and you'll be fine unless you have already started rusting inside the movement.

Not sure they clone an ETA 2671. I got a Swiss ETA in a ladies DJ for my wife for around that price about 4 years ago, But it mat have been a used movement. Keeps crappy time now and needs a service. But the watch was quite nice.

You surely do like to show off how little you really know about the world around you. Northwestern is one of the finest engineering schools in the United States. My uncle graduated from there as a chemical engineer and felt enough about the school to leave them endowment money to fund several yearly scholarships in perpetuity. I just went with the wife this weekend. She saw Jersey Boys and I saw Tom Cruise, Edge of Tomorrow. Great special effects but I felt like I was playing Doom again, stuck on the same level over and over. The whole premise was pretty lame and it was just about the same as most video games. Keep going back and killing the same aliens over and over till you get the head alien, then game over. I saw the first 15 minutes of Jersey Boys and wish I'd just have stayed and watched that instead. She love it.

Hey Ipcress, while you're busy personally attacking Sneed personally for his message. why did you ignore my questions? Tell me more about how they faked the other two planes and how they dummied up all the info about the dead passengers, their cell phone calls and records and about the hijackers and how they were attending flight school down here in South Florida. And the Towers didn't fall from airplanes cutting through steel beams. They fell from the extreme heat caused by thousands of gallons of jet fuel and the inferno it caused melting the steel girders to the point that they could no longer hold up the weight above them. Your argument is so full of holes it could be compared to Swiss cheese.

Here's the best tutorial for installing a gen insert. Note in particular when he gets to the last part of the insert how he turns it over and presses the last little bit with force on a table edge. You may have to roll it slightly till it clicks. This has worked for me several times on inserts that would otherwise be impossible. The actual DG4813 is a decent movement. I've still got one in my old Regmariner, TTK Noobmariner from years ago. It's definitely not the same thing as the new POS movement,

The CH8836 is different from the first movement shown in the BP DSSD. The slot for the stem release is different and the number of ridges on the auto wind bridge are different just with a quick glance at the two. Plus the price of the CH8836 is about equal to the Seagull and Hangzhou clone movements.

Try lubricating it up real good and putting it in the freezer to chill it. Maybe it'll shrink up enough to fit and stay in place.
