  1. Bob you are taking 120 Fahrenheit ???? Too hot will soften the schelack that holds the jewels in place Personally i have a Tupperware box filled with silica gel sachets (the sort you get in new shoes and electrical goods) If i ever have a water ingress problem the case back gets removed and the whole watch goes in there for a few days before i inspect and service if required, the inside of this box is dryer than death valley! but not hot so as to loosen jewels Fransico had a post a while ago showing what happened when some one used a hair dryer to dry a watch!
  2. Some like IWC are too technical, some are so fixed at 800pixel with lit is like going back through time and some are so flash incentive they are slow to load on slower connections (like the rolex site) Some have massive buy it now buttons that says to me we just want you cash we dont care (which probably true) What do you guys think, who has the best site all round. Up to date, modern, quick to load with the right information.
  3. Well the top 5 has to include my Ingy as it made me buy the Gen (total safe queen for the next 30 years i hope) The Black bird gets a lot of wrist time and so far i have had two the second was swapped for a very nice BCE Now on leather with ocean racer deployant The wifes SOSF has to come next, even thought it looks like she has been industrial diving with it for the past few years, such a solid watch And then it would have to be my own brand Schuhren Particularly this one with my first modded movement A few others would come as favorates but i am looking to get rid of some to make some funds Railmaster 39mm Modded fiddy Modded moonwatch
  4. I would go for an asian 7750 with a the correct shaped rotoe for an omega 3313 No Micro adjuster and asian type balance spring fixings
  5. A wrist shot from last year, no way i would be canoeing today Congratulations TJ
  6. J i have been trying to think what the problem can be here i dont think it is the keyless works because the hour and min hand are still working but the seconds are not,They are all connected on the same gear train. So i am a bit stumped as to what it is with out seeing it in person. All i can sujest is a service and the problem will become apparent when it is stripped.
  7. Hey Congratulations Dad, he is a big baby nearly 8lbs!
  8. On this one when you unscrew the crown the whole CG section moves back with the crown.
  9. I tried on the Gen in UK over christmas and to be honest i am not a fan of the case shape but the thick Milanese bracelet was just perfect for that watch and others
  10. The only one i have a that has had truly daily wears the the SOSF that my wife wears and that is still spot on apart from the dings and scratches she has applied
  11. crown and guard, crystal, case, subdial, date, just about every thing to be honest
  12. All look a bit to clean and good for me, some pretty sought after kit there with low starting prices, i would be happy even if i knew it was a reprint if the price is decent, i am no expert but the printing does look good
  13. I regesterd too, I really like the look of that
  14. Hey red how about this on the bay, in USA $195 Hey red how about this on the bay, in USA $195
  15. I think that would be more comfortabel, More storage called for i would say. Get a watch smiths mat from AF (green antistatic matt) and i would maybe recommend a rounded grove on the edges with out a trim around them to stop things rolling off. If you are having a drawer that comes out the front, it would be good for two that comes out the sides particularly for tools or at least a tool stand, like a slide out plate with holes for tools like dust blowers that roll around the desk
  16. Well shipping to the EU would be $158 for a $53 item so i wont be buying one of them
  17. These are a usefull add on, from watchtool.de
  18. if you are going to make it your self then i think it should be larger, also think about arm rests, below is a bergeon professional desk that i use when i go to school in the uk, It is height adjustable, it is also about 4 foot wide As a table top, you may want to think about a triangular design so you can rest you arms on the table it is on
  19. They have some pretty good looking stuff there for the home work shop, the table top solutions are very good, like the tool rack and organizer. The work benches look great for the price you would just need to make them higher. I bet the postage to the EU is a bit much though
  20. Hey Red you say you have found several versions of that one, any cheeper ones?, i was thinking of 2 or 3 as a storage solution at the back of my desk
  21. Hmmm Me too #10171] You do not have permission to view this attachment.
