  1. i know - he also says some of that crap is a good rep but, he does have 1700 posts on ebay. and looks like all watch related.
  2. I don't think there are any "rules" except for you have to be a contributor. Look at some of the offers by senior members - its kind of like ebay - you need to lay out your terms. payment shipping good luck ect ect
  3. we went through this whole discussion with me last year Here is my new dilemma, i found some sunglasses that are super awesome. They were 25 bucks at Sams Club. I should have grabbed half a dozen. Afer some research they were sold by a hunting and fishing magazine for like 50bucks, i guess this was the remaining ones they couldn't sell off. The company that made them are in the business of branding items and custom orders. The are in spain, but i didn't save the link. And now the serial number off the glasses which i used to find the company is smudged and un readable. I'm like dying to find some other group that had these made with their logo so i can get another pair (scratched them) i'm too ruff and careless with teh sunglasses to spend 100 bucks on em. 50 ok, 100 no. anywho - we should do this - produce some RWG sunglasses we should search in companies in spain for who can produce them
  4. So, through some googling for something unrelated today i ran into this guy http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ2...heoldwatchmaker he has a zillion ebay feedback and also has a website http://www.theoldwatchmaker.com on his website he has reps. he says they have been cleaned and oiled - for the most part they look like canal street specials. i Contacted him about this rep http://www.theoldwatchmaker.com/9003-info.html because, other than some of the I(s) being crooked the dial looks pretty impressive for this model. I know its not 100% accurate but its better than 99% of the crap i have seen out there. I emailed him through the ebay account to make sure it was the same dude - and it is. he responded that "In this moment I have Zenith El Primero Automatic Wrist Nice Replica in rectangular black dial !" not sure what a el primero rectangular dial is, but i will let you know if its interesting. Anyway i thought i would just throw this out there if anyone is of interest. It looks like they do some in house watchwork from the looks of the ebay pages.
  5. that was freakin hilarious
  6. Price was 795 GUARONTEEED LOWEST PRICE FOR SWISS GRADE 1 this is hilarious Ok, fess up who here has come to find out their asian models are made with "hard plastics"
  7. I know right, i drop that on a rep without thinking, but because its a bike - something i never put money into - its a huge deal And, the only hills we have in florida are landfills - and, the only weather is hurricanes so, i don't think those tires would help
  8. yeah - the gears on this thing are really sweet- for a street bike. I've never had anything like it. it wasn't that outragously expensive either, i think it was 370
  9. I'm reserving this post space here on the first page for the eventual - Breit GT bently Gen vs. Rep I just have to get my buddy with the gen to come over to my house so i can shoot the watches side by side
  10. mine are handy right down there in the sig there are a few more -but, thats good enough for now
  11. there was a guitar thread that i remember going on forever. It all depends on what you call metal i mean, is deep purple metal? they were for the grammies I'm more of a prog guy - dream theater, rush, and whatever class one might put king's x into
  12. very nice - i recently got my first ever "real" bike. I don't mountain - in fact i have a bad back also i live in florida and i use it just for some exercise. My wife and i found these bikes after alot of research - more of a cruiser really I have the 21 speed electric blue townie above isn't my personal bike, but its a good photo my wife has the pink one Its a 3 speed. Notice the offset pedels - Its like nothing i have ever ridden before. It takes a few minutes to get used to but its super enjoyable It feels much more like riding a motorcycle - cause your in more of a sitting position. cool comfortable and good for people with bad backs that cant hunch over. http://www.electrabike.com/06_new/flash_index.html if you have an auth dealer in the area - i recomend going to try it out, just cause its that different
  13. Hi welcome right at the top of the board, there is a links button http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?autocom=links it has all of the other sites there. I am a member at TRC - but i was really very active on the "old" RWG Same basic crowd on these and the other boards in the links section with certain persons caring for the different styles of the various boards you will find much familier here - welcome over
  14. looks like i will look to this for the future. I have a palp crown on the way and i'm happy to keep my order, because they have worked damn hard to do this for us at no profit. That must be respected- V thanks for the info.
  15. Lets give a big "yeah yeahaaahhhh" Metallica broke metal to the masses. Master is definatly one of the 10 best - so is dirt by alice in chains. i worked security one night at a metallica concert - they paid me to watch teh show from a great seat HA HA HA
  16. outside of PAMs (which you will learn to love, we all succum eventually) there are only a handful of reps that are super super top quality. You have chosen wisely with the bently GT. I have the red face - its one of my favorite pieces. Welcome to the board - even though the reps are only a few hundred bucks - they are like little demons they call out from the internets to buy more MORE MORE thanks for the intro - look foward to your bently photos
  17. sweet thanks, i'll check it out
  18. i love this watch - i have the black face - nice photos, enjoy
  19. i missed this whole debate first time around. anyone who has delt with me, knows i have great communication both buying and selling. (i have a blackberry so, the instant notice makes it easier) but - i do not consider a post response or even a PM to be a done deal. The deal isn't done as far as i'm concerned untill the paypal is done. If i'm dealing with someone i know - its different. Flav and i went back and forth negotiatingn for like 2 days but - if i'm dealing with someone who i don't know on the board - as far as i'm concerned its just like if your in the store - its the first person to lay the cash down on the table. Frankly the seller has alot of control over that because you decide whom to send your email address too. especially considering the nature of our business here, the private sellers should not be expected to sell to any person just because they are the first to reply. You see the type of problems that dealers run into. as far as i'm concerned - seller reserves all rights. Now, if i agree to sell and i accept paypal payment - then thats a done deal, but prior to paypal coming in its in the best interest of all of us to retain control over our sale. nothing personal - just business IMHO. Finepics - i have alot of respect for what you do on the board here. I understand how you were upset about losing a good deal - and i didn't comment in your thread, but i thought you had come out a little strong. If it were someone who held themself out as an official dealer that would be 1 thing, but in private transactions, i just think were all better off in allowing the seller to control. I wouldn't consider the seller to be abusing those rights unless they hold someone's money without replying for an unreasonable period of time - or worse - trading watches and waiting to recieve the one incoming to see if you like it before it goes back out. I have read that happening a few times before. That is something to go crazy about - that is completely dishonest. just my opinion
  20. My friend turned me onto this - its AWESOME, never worry about being outbid again http://www.auctionsniper.com/ i have never actually paid for it, i just keep getting free ones for referring people. If any of you sign up. please pm me for my ebay id so i can get more free ones you can set it to bid for you with however many seconds left you want. enjoy
  21. i'm building my own 177h which is basically the 111h but in titanium my opinion is the asian unitas movements are on par with the swiss - (i'm no movement expert just from experience) If this is your first pam, you need to know the first thing you have to do is get a strap. The strap makes the pam and the rep ones are - well, they suck. the things you want to look for in my opinion - is luminosity, super, or not so super, the closeness of the lswissl or swiss made to the 6 after that your looking at movement decoration. I personally put little interest in the movement. Now - if you want a super rep - you can wait for davidson or, you can go my route 177h from joshua 188$ davidson dial superlume $50 davidson crystal 30ish? i forgot palp crown 75$ installed - ??? i'm putting a strap from V - it will be a SUPER sweet piece waiting for the palp crown to send it off or you can just get a basic model and be happy
  22. Mmmmm sexy, like movement porn
  23. i stick in the 5 to 10k watches But - at least where i live, there are tons of people who's family is wealthy and they wear expensive watches - not, 1.2 million. but, i know people that are state attorneys make 35 k and wear rolex's legislative aids that make 30k that have mont bloncs to match ever outfit. investment guy who only makes 50k but has several 5k plus watches (his father owns a few banks) and another guy whos father buys 10k watches wears them for a while then passes them off to his kid just saying - you can't really tell
