Yep, still in business. Lots of QC pictures required as his parts vary massively. This is actually an ingod case that I've modded. A third of the price and as nice as I've had from Phong before. Only issue is incorrect 'E's (equal lengths) on the engravings but i think the percentage of people who'd pick up on it is pretty minor. Cheers DH

Well after cutting my teeth on a few 2846/GMT conversion builds i decided to treat myself this Christmas to a few choice parts, not sure about you but at my age all i get it socks and a Terry's chocolate orange. Anyone who knows me knows that the 1655 is my favourite of all of the Vintage Rolex sports models. The keen eyed amongst you will also notice that the straight hand is in fact too early for the MK3 Rail dial but as the case is dated too 1971 and the movement is non hacking i guess that the previous owner must have had the dial changed around the mid seventies maybe due to water damage You also may notice that the plexi hasn't got a cyclops, Rolex produced a non cyclops Plexi (T38) as an option for the 1665 and the 1675 models but it didn't prove too be popular at the time, so in typical Vintage Rolex fashion they now fetch up towards the $400.00 mark. I couldn't justify that so after some consultancy with 'Bonesy' he eventually came up with a solution involving a Dremel and fine wet and dry paper. Just waiting for one of Mr Phongs bezels and its a done deal. Cheers DH

When i originally bought the dial it was clear from the stampings on the back that the dial was Genuine Rolex, however I was unsure if it started out life as a 1655. Or possibly a re-finished one. Using my 1655 obsessive eyes, the shape and size of the frog foot coronet is correct for a mk2 T SWISS T dial and the lume looks original and un-touched. DH

Personally I'd just buy the ingod44 Rail 1665 dial. Best value for money after market dial out there. Unless your in the company of a Vintage Rolex expert who's really going to know, And if you had it nicely re-lumed then it would be an even harder call DH

Yes, It fits into the MBW case, as does a Gen 1570 with slight mods to the case. DH
