i like open discussion like this in here. freedom of speech. I posted a thread on risit enquiring about the quliaty of the gator leather offered by a particular strap-maker last year. I did not get one single message on the board. However, I have received almost 10 mesages by email blasting that strap-maker. Some said they follow the advices from the Risti memeber and made a large purchase. They have bought a couple from them, but they will never use them because of the quality of the leather. Noone really dares to post question like this on Risti. Alot of victims (myself included) made one purchase and will never return.

Not sure about the BKK scene. I do go Bkk or other part of Thaland twice a year. But I have seen the vintage Rolex daytona in saigon (and a friend from India said the same is sold in Inda). In Saigon, I had asked the seller to open to check if it were a vajoux movement. Even though the Vajloux 72 momvemtn has engrvaed bridge. It was dirty, badly assembled -- can be seen with my naked eyes. I would suggest building one from scratch and sourcing the parts. I have a couple of manual winded vintage daytonas ( not as nice as LHOOQ -- BigCrown has also got a drop dead gorgeous 6263/5) -- I don't want to thread crap by posing pictures. The ones in here are one of the best I have seen- the gen 6239 has slight different shapes than 6263. The 6239 here is nicely executed. 6263 is nice but still needs some works. I woukd work on the shape of the lugs on that paricular 6263. Flex

I have been going back and forth to that sales thread in question. Very beautfiul watch. But I won't fork out the money for that watch. For that amount of money, I would rather buy a 16520 and give it to my children as an investment. The rep can only be sold in the forums. At the end of the day, a rep is still a rep. The average joe wil not appreciate it. The high-end gen collectors will notice it as a rep as they will bring out their loupes and examine the whole thing.

I can't even tell if it is a repo case or just an aftermarket case.... this piece is worth nothing imho

your 002 looks really good, especially the CG. DSN pam are getting better - did David upgrade hiis case set? There is one thing that bugs me -- the lug dimple the rep case has (except for EL & Jimmy Fu case). Ias far as I know DSN is the only one that constants wants to improve their products. some current pam models even has a very high strap cut out

Very impressive DLC.. I also love the comparision of the crown used in the two models The color of my 111 is quite close to geninue. From the picture, I can see that my watch coating has a yellow tint compared to the geninue dlc coating.

The only thing that stops me from ordering from Josh is his lack of interest in selling parts (bezel, bracelet) after the purchaseof the watch was made for a couple of months. I would stick to my dealers as they have offered a helping hand when needed.

Saw a couple last Novemeber in MBK stores. so I assume it is still available? any chance of showing us your project?
