  1. Very nice. I'm not curious - does the gen has double AR.
  2. I have a spare 28a dial from Honpo if anyone needs..
  3. I am not familar with the accuarcy of these models.. in general, I tend to stay away from A21J GMT movement. The GMT hand will start to slip after a short time of use. I would go for the non-GMT models. Again, let's wait for the members who have the experiences to chimp in.
  4. Stunning bulit. Ubi, you have raised the 'bar' again for us franken builders..
  5. Hi LHOOQ, indeed he did.. i can spend all day looking at the dial.. its amazing
  6. NDT Trading, gen bezel, gilt dial, relumed by The Zigmeister the master watchmaker next to my gen
  7. LOL (sorry I didnt laugh this hard for a long time)
  8. The pre-V lugs are more rounded and there is no strap dimple between the lugs (like my EL)
  9. For pre-V, I would not waste a Jimmy Fu case.. They are great for A-F series build. Jackson has strap dimple, so another No No. Here are some pics of the gen..
  10. For 1700, you can't go wrong with the deal
  11. Guys.. I will be heading to NYC in two weeks time for business reasons... man, this looks scary to a tropical person here.
  12. @wiesn089 - the current bezel I have is just an old Honpo bezel. The 7 is still incorrect. I think Phong's got the 7's right but has other flaws. I'm hoping DW will come up with a better one one day. @Freddy333 - thanks, point taken. Your 6239 is a beauty.
  13. Very beautiful! Is there any plan to replace that dial?
  14. Hi everyone, Sorry I have been busy with Chinese New Year Holidays.. I havn't actively been checking in lately. Both watches were bulit by The Zigmeister. His attention to details & knowledges never failed to amaze me. Daytona PN The PN dial was a Texas dial I picked in a watchshow. Other than that,it is a basic bulit with Valjoux 72 movement. it is still a work in progress. I will replace that bezel with a geninue bezel like my 6265. No Crown Sub The Sub on the left is bulit from a cheap cartel-based no-crown sub. The Zigmeister magically lumed the dial and hands. The color of the dial and hands are absoultly perfect. The picture did not capture the dial and hands very well. I have been staring at the dial/ hands in my office everyday. The insert is still the cheap cartel insert. On the sub, I will replace the crystal. Just a budget sub! All credits go to The Zigmeister. I have relatives that collect vintage Rolex so I am exposed to the geninues and can mod my projects accordingly (I myself collect PP). @LHOOQ - I actually have been buying alot of camera gears after our short GTG. I've recently bought a Lumix GF2 and lots of lens for my Canon. There are still a few more wathces that I want to capture in my new camera set-up.
  15. Not much happening (watch-wise). But the night life scene is good.. remember to have a drink. Great place to visit
  16. Love the idea.. wasn't aware I never took pic of my entire collection..
  17. Great look. personally I would opt for a faded insert (thats only my personal prefernce)!
  18. Sure! We can do coffee here or in Phillipines anytime. Lately I have only been wearing these beauties
  19. could you show us a pic of end links and bracelet? looks good from your photos there!
  20. I also bought the new logo.. not that I will be getting it till next week, after the CNY holidays. You are spoiled because you didnt have to go thru the trouble of getting those 'good' parts'. Alot of time those good parts could cost more than a new cartel model. For intance, a modder was charging $350 for a rep case with mineral crystal wihch looks like JFu (but its not). A good V CG could cost up to 140-160 current rate ( I think).
  21. The stock MBW looks better. I'd send it to one of the modders for reluming. Good luck with your project
