I get the feeling that most of the respondents to this thread are 'older' and already set in their lives & careers so moving to a 3rd world destination may not seem that attractive a proposition
Yet if you're young and seeking adventure, India is not an experience to be missed.
And being that the remuneration package is second to none, you'll find that your dollar still goes a mighty long way when you're out there

Well I too sent my PO chrono to Smidsy for the sunken DW fix (& a floppy sub-dial)
turns out the movement was a bastard lovechild of two separate yet adulterous 7750s
And it can't be done since there's a solid metal plate blocking access to the DW
Not sure if i should blame the dealer for selling this as a serviced watch or the seller who funked it up to begin with

but heck I'm still tempted to do it
I think on the gen you gotta set the time back & forth over 12 o'clock to get the DW to move forward
don't unscrew it if you can't, especially since it's really hard to align when you wanna get it back in
Anyway the rubber is quite flexible and will come off the ends with a little persuasion
