  1. FDA approve it a few years back. If you really want it than you can get it (in the US at least). http://www.verichipcorp.com/ You can be the first to get one before 'The Man' requires it from the rest of us.
  2. Nothing strange IMO. People wear DTags for good reason. Some time ago I would wear multiples. Nothing to do with me really, I just hoped if something happened, some chunk of me would make it home to be dressed up and shoved in the bottom of a jar. Having seen a few messy scenes I can tell you that the body is fragile and doesn't always hold up to extreme forces. (not to get too gross) If you live in, or travel to an area that goes out of the way figure out what chunk belongs where than don't worry about it but that isn't the norm in all places. Even if you lose your wallet while being "done in' it is up to someone else to care. Often times they don't. Get yourself a DNA test and keep it in a safe place. If you travel to a 3rd world country, get yourself tatooed, chipped or carve your phone number into your chest. It doesn't mean you're off unless you put the markings in freaky places. That would be a little odd.
  3. Merry Christmas to you and family! Sorry the Napa Area GTG didn't happen last year. I was looking forward to meeting you.
  4. Welcome Nikki6. So are we a Motley Crue, Nikki Sixx fan or is there another meaning? I hope you enjoy your stay and find some nice watches to enjoy. Cheers, CM
  5. 7753 based if I recall so l expect the dreaded date window gap
  6. I interview people all the time and I can't think of one time that I worried about if the canidate needed a job. Although I have dealt with the thought prior to letting someone go. I have seen people come off as desperate, which didn't go over well. I always look for high capability and drive. If a guy walked in with a nice watch I would tend to think they have some level of drive. A good portion of the top sales people I have worked with had nice watches. The only time I was caught off guard was when I saw a young new guy (I didn't hire him) with a Red Sub. I was sure if must be a rep......it isn't. I know there are a few other members that have some experience in this (TT ) What say you? Just for the record, once again. Wear the damn thing and don't worry about it. The only way it is going to hurt you is if you look like you are worried about your watch. Walk in there like you are worth every penny. But NO other jewelry, other than a wedding ring. You can wear a class ring if you went to a top school. Please don't wear your Univ of Pheonix class ring. Nothing wrong with the degree but really, do you need to wear a class ring.
  7. If the watch is something you would wear in that job I see reason not to wear it to an interview. Maybe the interviewer will be a watch person. Just keep the Mr. T starter kit at home. Good luck on your job hunt!
  8. Bwhahhahhahah Well done. I almost spit out my coffee.
  9. Thanks lanikai! I expect it to wear large but somehow the size and taper of the bracelet seems to be on the small size. I wondered if it felt REALLY top heavy. So what do you guys think would be the actual percentage of these gens that ever make deeper than the pool at the Bellagio? 2%? 0.0002% ?
  10. Thanks for the photos! I have one on the way and was wondering about a few things, especially the crystal dome. I think you are right on, the dome looks correct to me. What do you think about how it wears on the wrist? Besides being heavy I'm curious how the balance is based on that narrow bracelet. Cheers, CM
  11. My two favorite things to see is care package was coffee and baby wipes, after a nice letter of course. Although those sunglasses look like a nice gift.
  12. I ordered one from River. Curious to see it live. I did notice the hopno watermark on the photos so one would assume that is his supplier? Who knows. It's always a shell game finding the right version.
  13. I have a 1st version 3717 that suffers from crooked markers. I think I recall people fixing this in the past but can't find the post. Any way to remove and reglue them without damaging the dial? Thanks for the help!
  14. I'd be up for a 3135 if move inventory is available.
  15. I have a gen 111 and it isn't any brighter than the great The Zigmeister relumes I have, other than the amount of lume the dial takes. My 196 isn't even close to the 111 but I wouldn't expect it to be due to the difference in lume amount applied. The only real difference I can tell (which is small) is the gens have a bit more even glow, likely due to their automated luming process. The very slight changes in thickness of the lume makes a barely visable difference in some cases. But even that wouldn't be called out IMHO.
  16. You'll be back. Every time I buy a gen I say to myself 'I love this thing and will never buy another rep'. After what seems like 10 minutes I realize I can't do any mods to it and get sad. I love gens but have so much more fun with reps. Just go on a gen forum and realize that all they talk about is the next gen. There is nothing else to talk about..... Let's mod something!
  17. Over a week multiple times....no problem. It almost always makes it through.
  18. I have never had somebody ask if it was real. Usually I have to chase them down the street shoving my watch in their face, screaming "It's a Rolex and it's worth more than your house! Now lick my boots you poor bitches!" If I had a dollar for every time that happened!
  19. Welcome back! I enjoyed the read and I can imagine the trip was wonderful. I don't know what is going to happen to the art if nobody can make the money to justify the education. Did the Dean happen to mention what their admissions were like? I'm curious if they still have the applicants to support the industry. Cheers, CM
  20. Vlaletom is right on. There is a ton of watch shops to see right in that area and you can't miss Wempe. If you cross over to the other side the wife might like the large Hermes boutique. If you want a cheap tour just jump on the #69 bus (no, not a joke). It goes to most of the major sites and at a fraction of the cost of the tour bus companies.
  21. I think the main panel bonding is actually what is required for the breakers but not for the sub panel. The neutral is a current-carrying conductor, whereas the ground wire is not. As such, the neutral wires are insulated, the same as any other current-carrying conductor. The misunderstanding comes from the fact that the neutral wire is intentionally grounded at the main service panel only. The reason for this action is to allow ground-faults (or "short circuits" to ground) a return path back to the source of power, the utility transformer. Having the ground wires bonded to the neutral makes it possible for the circuit breaker to trip out easily under such conditions.
  22. Yep, I don't think they have combined ground and neutral anymore (unless it is very old or I don't know what I'm talking about). The neutral is a current carrying wire so if you used a single bus you could possibly have current moving up the ground to the appliance, saw or whatever. It is a shock hazard because the outer metal frames of the equipment could have potential difference from a different appliance on a different circuit (or the cement floor in the garage) and it would flow voltage. Zappola'
  23. Wait, I might have figured it out. I think some main panels have the neutral and ground together (or bonded). An add on ground bus bar would be needed to allow the GF to work properly. (I think)
