I can put a movement together in <30 seconds. a) Put all the pieces into the smallest plastic bag you have. Place the bag on a hard surface like concrete or an anvil. c) Heft a 10lb sledge hammer... d) I think you get the idea by now lol The only problem is it will be difficult to service in the futre, and it won't be very accurate but boy will it be together.

No idea on the movement. Don't even bother looking for a rep - I've tried. The only reps out there are VERY bad. I have heard that a new rep MAY be coming this year....

Looks like a UPO to me. The markers on mine were ivory as well. You should be able to see the slight AR coating on the inside of the crystal. There is none on the outside. smc

Heya. Applecare is worth it. Applecare IS the extended warranty. I would go with the apple wireless mouse and keyboard. If you can wait till macworld 2009 they are supposed to be refreshing the mini line. Otherwise I would get a new macbook, you'll wish you did even though you have the windows laptop. I was a lifetime Microsoft user till about 6 months ago. I've been working in IT for almost 20 years. It sure makes using the computer at home relaxing, I don't have to deal with the same stupid problems as at work.

So is anyone up for this? I want to do the mother of all lume 'MOAL' comparisons, but I'm sort of low on cash at this time of year. I can't afford to spend a couple of hundred dollars on the experiment, only to end up with a pile of lume that I won't use, because I'm betting that there will be a clear winner. I'll post pictures of the powder at magnification under a microscope, daylight lume dots, and night lume dots at 30 minute intervals with the same ISO/Aperature/Shutter/White Balance settings. All shots will include an Orange Monster for comparison. All test samples will be applied to a pre-painted Titanium White subject. I need *small* samples - just enough for a few test dots of popular colors of Nocti, Tritec and Glow inc. I already have AF green and orange, as well as the 3 Nitro Lume colors, and an assortment of premixed 'Ready Set Glow' paint. Please PM me if you are willing to send a very tiny amount of any of the above. RC Tritec is closed till the new year so this will have to come from someone who already has a supply. Thanks, smc
