  1. That might be the most beautiful watch I've ever seen
  2. For the Omega mesh, I had to get an "extender" (it's an OEM part that cost $50) to make it fit my 7.5" wrist. You can sort of see it here... not the best pic Forgot to mention. This is by far the most comfortable, bulletproof strap I've ever worn. The clasp is a work of art (ok maybe not as good as the new Rolex ones, but it's close)
  3. Tire rotation is for proper traction as well...
  4. HAHA love the pic with the lighter. You should do one on the "Bond" strap. Dude, all you need is "00" designation.
  5. Direct3d is crap. It's easier to code for but you end up with crap bloated code that is beholden to microsoft. The need for DX is because there are a million component makers out there for PCs. DX is not a good thing, it simply makes life easier for lazy coders and has allowed the crap component makers to create even less compliant devices.
  6. Once again, the people that don't use them call them crap. I've been using, programming, fixing, selling, consulting on and managing computers since I got my Atari 400 in 1978. I pretty much made my career on MS. I've used every piece of software written my MS (as far as I know). Not only is the mac more stable, easier, less prone to viruses/malware (and no it's not because it's less popular it's due to the way it was designed - which comes from it's Unix/NEXT roots and which microsoft is trying to emulate in Vista/Win7), OSX is also more scalable - is stable 64bit - you can script ANYTHING you want (unlike windows). As far as I'm concerned is just as good as linux except that it works. Many game developers started to port and even program for the mac, and Microsoft threatened to pull their distribution rights. Coming from MANY years of experience, I prefer a mac at home and wish I could use them at work.
  7. You can get the mesh NOS from the WUS omega forum prefferred AD. You have to search and ask for contact info. That's where I got mine for my gen newer electric blue SMP.
  8. Gonna have to agree with a G. Also love my monster if you want a mech watch.
  9. Switched to a macbook pro 2 years ago at home (IT manager of a windows network - 20 years of experience with microsoft) If you have not used both you can't comment. I look forward to going home to use my mac. It's not overpriced if you compare it to proper competition from HP/Lenovo etc. You can't compare it to a $400 laptop that will break if you open the lid too fast. My macbook will probably last another 2 years at least. OSX takes some time to get used to, and it's not perfect but it keeps getting faster (unlike windows). Whatever you do, don't put microsoft office / symantec anything on it.
  10. Dude that's amazing. I'm going to start this project as well because I like yours so much.
  11. ebay item... http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=360171534298 It's CHEAP and I realize that the dial size may be wrong, but what do you guys think of the lugs and CG's? Close or way off?
  12. Ok so as a vintage noob, would this possibly represent a 1680? Thanks, SMC
  13. Lol somone already outbid me. Even though there are others available.
  14. Ok call me crazy, but I'm thinking of getting one of these to start a vintage project. Perhaps get a refurb dial/hands/crown/band off ebay? Am I way off base? vintage sub clone Thanks, SMC
  15. Before I joined I had no idea what a rehaut was. When I found out I thought people were crazy when discussing the differences. Now it's the first thing I notice. Some sub/sd reps are better than others but none look gen.

    Holy...

As far as I know, there is a rep available but it's WAY off. I would have bought a rep if it was close. I was able to source this one for an amount I was willing to pay

Grail! Well one of them... Surprisingly comfortable watch which has become my daily beater. love how the blue face changes colour...
  18. Thanks for the great help guys! Looks like this is going to be a long and probably fruitless search though
  19. Hey all. I just pulled the trigger on a pre-loved B1 with the blue face. I know that some rep bracelets are pretty good quality, and I figured that if this one was available I would get one and save my gen bracelet (using this watch as a daily beater). Does anyone know if the fighter bracelet was ever made and did they make a blue dialed UTC module? Thanks!
  20. My SSD HeV seems to work properly, just so you know...
  21. Yup, they need to focus on the visible details, bring the prices down and stop wasting time and money on stuff like this...
  22. I so want to reply to this person, but I figure it would draw more attention to the post, you and this/other boards...
