  1. Definitely the UPO, it is a very well built watch! As has already been mentioned get the watch yourself and send it off for the coating, you'll save a lot of money.
  2. I think they're both good choices. The Chopard is a great replica for the money in my opoinion, I have heard lots of positive things about it. As for the SOSF, you will not be disappointd, two very well priced and good looking watches!
  3. That is one impressive mod lit, can't wait to see the finished product!!
  4. Unfortunately the Breitling are reknowned for their bad engravings, ever heard of a country caled Swilzerland? Well who ever made the Bentley had heard of it As far as the date change goes, my bet would be that you need to fast fowrard the hour hand by 12 hours.
  5. I've wore my Steelfish around Europe without an problems. I think the only time a prblem may arise is if you were to take 6/6 reps with you in your travel bag, and for that to get checked. If you have one on the wrist, you'll be fine!
  6. Although I am no longer the owner of this materpiece, I would have to say it was the Swiss HBB;
  7. I would suggest a Patek, or maybe a Breguet replica. Im not sure how accurate this is, but it looks nice;
  8. Seems to be working now Looks genuine to me The biggest tell would be the correct placement of the He valve, and it just looks right. I can't explain it, but the replica's just have a slightly different look to them.
  9. I dodn't realise there were that many Seiko's! That is beyond impressive, and near to the slightly strange haha
  10. Oh I agree. At first I wasn't too keen on this watch, but it has really grown on me. It wouldn't be a hard watch to rep, and I am pretty sure that it would sell by the dozens!! Please make this one
  11. Another very nice collection you have had, and what a gesture
  12. An all time classic, and for the money you have a decent rep there!! Wear it well
  13. You have owned some truly great pieces! Nice post!! Being subjected to the Rolex Exploer II in white by By-tor, and now seeing it here, it really is growing on me!!
  14. Just wear it as a daily beater, wear it as a watch, rather than a Daytona!
  15. I would assume it is like the SOSF, the only difference being the asian movement. I certainly would rather spend 200USD on an asian movement with the incorrect handstack, than 400USD for the correct 'Swiss' one!
  16. Nice choice, it's a really smart looking watch, especially on the leather strap!
  17. Even genuine Swiss Valjoux 7750 movements make a degree of noise, and the 7750 is notoriously noisy.
  18. Excellent comparison, thansk for sharing!
  19. This is my point of view; I havent seen what was posted, but am basing my opinion on what I have read here If the scenario is like this; The member has posted a replica watch on a fiorum like he describes, with no links to any of the related forums (RG RWI or here), nor to any of the dealers on the said boards, then no damage has been done. He is a member of this forum, and now that he know's that such action inflates the knowledge of the rep world, I am sure that he would take it unto himmself to not post such a thread again. I say this because it is not as if people aren't aware of replica watches, you can find them using google. As long as there are no links to our community, or our collectors, I feel that some reactions may be a little over the top. The fact that we get new people join our forum is proof that we are not easily hidden. Solution; I believe (and this has been discussed at length before) that we should remove our name from Google, and all other advertising websites, we have to decide whether we are here as a small community for protection, or for protection at large to people who may just buy one replica, spread the word of the forum and then not return. This would be far more effective than talking of banning someone for such a minor thing. I forget the number of times I have read where people wear replica's into AD (shwoing them off or not) but to me this is far more serious, because this is presenting our hobby to people who have a stake, and an economic interest in this hobby. HOWEVER; If the scenario is like this; The replica watch has been posted, with any links (express or implied) to our community and, or our collectors, then this is a problem for us. Not only does this raise the awareness of our community, but it also provides an access point from another public forum. Solution; If this is indeed the case, then I would hope that the member concerned would remove his posting, or at least edit it to remove any links, of any nature to this community and its collectors
  20. I believe there was a rep made a long time ago, you may be able to get one of the collectors to source you one, or post a link in the WTB and you may be lucky!
  21. Nice purchase, an AR coating job from Jakub, and this will be one very nice UPO! If you put the link in using the pictuere button at the top of creaint a new post, it'll post the pictures into the the thread itself or out the link in betwee [img*]INSERTLINK[/img*] and remove the *'s....
  22. Have you also seen the Calatrava on its way, I cant find the genuine to post a pic, but here is a pic of the replica;
