From my observation of real, hard core, Scuba Divers, I would say 80%+ actually wear Seiko and Citizen Dive watches. Despite the fact Rolex, Omega, Doxa, etc, are normally thought of when thinking about diving.
I also have 3 family members who are pilots. They all wear Citizen's, not Breitlings.
Lead is only going to be a hazard if you ingest it. I am sure there is lead based paint used in some of the dials, or inserts. Again, non-issue since the dial is sealed off. Just don't chew on your bezel, or let your kids chew on your watch.
I have both a B&L 4x with head-wire, and Optivisor. I have to admit I have a easier time focusing with the Optivisor and its stereo optics. That said, I usually reach for that first.
I am curious to here Freddy333 chime in on this as his "Beater" DRSD seems to see a lot of daylight. Wonder what, if any, attention he has ever received while wearing it.
Personally, if I were wealthy and fortunate enough for a DRSD, I would wear it out and about. I probably wouldn't dive with it, but I would definitely wear it out to dinner.
+1 on the Acetimer for an affordable winder. I have one 8x12 for me and one 2x3 for my wife.
I am approaching 1yr on my 8x. It was wisper quite when I got it, it has gotten a touch louder, but not enough to bother me in the bedroom while sleeping 10 feet away from it.
AceTimer touts their fuzzy logic. It is actually the weak link since you can not independently control CW, CCW. This makes it A7750, and one way winding movements unfriendly if you leave them on for more than a week without wearing. Easily hacked if you are an electronics geek.
Works perfect with all other ETA, and Gens I have.
Stumbled upon this. Hmmmm
Could be awesome!

Remark: PureTime has spent few months working with the best vintage replica maker on this watch, we admit it is not 100% same as genuine but it is the best out-of-the-box version in the market.
When using the "GIFT" option, I usually instruct the buyer to actually put something in like:
"Happy Birthday", "Merry Christmas", or some other Greeting Card Esq words. That way it at least gives the appearance and plausible denyability.
When using the regular payment options, I usually instruct the buyer TO LEAVE EVERYTHING blank/default.
