  1. Permanent Waves Tour 1980 was the first time I saw the band live. Also if you have a copy of Neil Peart's "Road Show". The cover photo-- That was taken at Red Rocks Amphitheater. I was there, and am one of the dots about 23 rows back. -Ronin
  2. Bigtime Rush fan myself. I played Bass (Rickenbacker 4001) & Keyboards in a Rush Cover Band "Vital Signs" (cough) 20 years ago. I also had some written correspondence with Neil circa Hold Your Fire tour. I saw the preview for the movie, now I have to see it! Although old news for X-Box/PS3 gamers. Wii owners with Rock Band 2 can now download the entire "Moving Pictures" album and Working Man. The game comes with The Trees. These are original no-cover versions. So IF you want to play along to your favorite Rush Tunes, check it out. There are two "The Who" songs on there as well (since we seem to have some Who fans here). -Ronin
  3. Too much $$$. Run away.... :-) Good catch on the Submariner 2000 should be red. -Ronin
  4. RWG has converted me into a PAM fan. Sigh...More watches to buy... ;-) That is beautiful. Wear it well. -Ronin
  5. Excellent. A future project for me for sure. I really want to do a "Rat Look" version of these. Someone here has done it already. The "rusty dial" look. Very Informative. Thanks! -Ronin
  6. The text is pretty crisp. Aftermarket = Yes. What are they asking? $150 tops. IMHO. If you decide to bail on it let me know. I am still looking for a DRSD or something similar to what you posted. -Ronin
  7. Love it. Wow, that Bezel really "pops". Wear it well. -Ronin
  8. Ok, that is not bad at all. Actually, I like it better then my Silix ROL187. -Ronin
  9. Ronin

    New POS

I am with Freddy on this one. For $59.00 a movement swap is easy, and then beat the snot out of it to look like it is 41 years old. The ole' Coin Treatment. I too would love to see a side shot. Worse case scratch it scar it, tea-bag or coffee the dial, pop the pearl and wear it with pride. -Ronin
  10. You never cease to amaze me Freddy. FYI, the old NLA ROL187 case from Silix measures 12mm thick including dome and case back. The side profile of the case measures 5mm @ 9:00 position and then tapers down slight before it falls of at the lugs. Also, did you have to drill / create lug holes? Beautiful!!!! -Ronin
  11. This has an added benefit of knowing, for example, the MBW numbers for use when Frankenmodding-- for parts interchange. Actually, I am less concerned about being scammed on a franken and more interested in a parts interchange data base. 1 Stone could kill 2 birds. -Ronin
  12. That is the most beautiful thing I have seen all day. Any chance you have and can post a straight on dial shot... -Ronin
  13. Josh's site is down, but last I checked, if this is similar to Watchedens-- it is QUARTZ!!!! -Ronin
  14. Most awesome, I am still waiting on my HKTAN (Same strap) for my BS as well. I think that will make at least 3 in this combo here on RWG.
  15. The screws would be one of the last thing when looking from a distance. My eyes usually follow this pattern: Cyclops mag (to rule out old school POS mag/font) Pearl & Bezel Crown & CG Dial & rehaut depth ...and by then I either have it figured out. If I was still stuck, next SEL based on model lug holes based on model I think the LAST thing I would look for is the screw heads. -Ronin
  16. Ditto, markers are a hair oversized, and the L could be moved left half a mm. Font could be a bit crisper, but if you are going vintage it is ok. Other than that, it is not bad. I have seen those type of redials of that quality go for $65-$140 in the past. -Ronin
  17. B E A U T Y!!! I never get tired of looking at these awesome project watches. -Ronin
  18. Still waiting to mod this-- my 1665 project has taken priority over this 6536/5508. I still find this watch super comfortable... -Ronin
  19. Looks like a fun project. If you decide to another one, post in-progress pictures. -Ronin
  20. This reminds me of the old iPod / iPhone speculation shots. Most of which were simply enthusiastic fans with photoshop... Ceramic Pepsi GMT -Ronin
  21. +1. I can usually view all new posts since my last visit is a quick efficient manner. The PM system, etc. Honestly, from a forum perspective, RWG has the best forum software and interface of ANY forum I have ever used. -Ronin
