  2. Very nice Polexpete.
  3. Hi these are the vintage mbw rolex. Best vintage replicas out there. I have had 3 but sold them all. MBW vintage rolex do fit genuine parts. You can PM if you have any doubt. Manuel
  4. allant vintage submariner or sport models do carry plastic crystals. I wonder if they fit genuine ones...or aftermarket ones..since it is a cheap watch no need to spend money in a gen crystal but aftermarket one.
  5. Hi from Spain. I am happy you like your new watch. Thank You! I have had 3 mbw 1680 trough my hands..but all of them sold. I have been told by my watchmaster that it is water resistant. I also took some pictures too. You know Sir-Lancelot bought a mbw 1680 from me and he also later did some work on his watch before swimming..I would suggest you to ask him first. This is a picture of my watchmaster machine, at his lab. And here is your watch being tested: (sorry for the poor quality pic of my motorola) As you can see the machine says your watch is as water resistant as this lecoutre reverso: Thanks Saso for your lovely pics! I really like them! Regards to Rottwild and your girlfriend.
  6. get a thuraya phone.
  7. I must add that crystal is outer side modified, not inner side..you know what i mean. That leads me to the conclusion that mbw retaining rings are 1 mm thicker than genuine ones.
  8. Thanks for your help! Been offline these two last days. I have a new job and little time to surf the forums. @Lancelot: you have pm. I am glad that you like the watch..you know I asked my watchmaster to replace crystal but you says you have done more modifications to make it waterproof. Nice! I have to say that I didnt add nor remove any part to the mbw 1680. All of you know that mbw vintages do have a retaining ring like the genuine. This retaining ring pushes the crystal so it cant move..After the crystal and retaining ring are secured you can put the bezel again. I remember that sometime ago a similar topic like this was discussed and some members (me included) comented that in order to fit the genuine crystal you had to trim down the side of the tropic crystal with a hand file..after that you had to polish the side of the crystal too. I think all of this is because the retaining ring is thicker than the genuine therefore the gen crystal hardly fits unless modifed. you may remember I told you this and also suggested you to get a new aftermarket retaining ring for your watch to avoid future modifications. Did you get a new retaining ring? If yes, where? Borel & Jules? All this mods have been performed by my local watchmaster here in Spain, but most people decide to do this themselves. In the end they are saving money by doing this themselves. Lancelot, my watchmaster did this to your watch and now he has done this to my new mbw 1680 which will go for Lazarini. Again thanks everybody for your help. Neil thanks for the song, this thead would have never been the same without your input. And yes you are right, people dont go swimming with expensive timepieces.
  9. Its a walter PPK. its between a beretta tomcat and a beretta 84. Tux must be from Brioni
  10. Sometime ago I did a water resitance test to a mbw 1680. (rep crystal was replaced with gen one) However machine said not good to swim with it. Anybody has tried that succesfully? Any idea on this issue? Thanks, your help is much appreciated.
  11. bump..5508 is the way to go.
  12. Both options are valid enough... But who gifts a HBB to a friend? Its a very expensive replica and in the end is still a replica...No good gift then..unless you are a rep fanatic and do appreciate these watches...then you are a rwg member..
  13. Hi from Spain. I think singapore collectors love the vintage rolex and Patek over other else watches. Am I right?
  14. Please dont ruin my biz Just kidding..And yes the rotten apple is one of us.
  15. This is a gold 1680...This guy has posted more watches for sale..he has been collecting ebay pictures and is selling them for 600 usd. For the stupid buyer it will be a watch that will never arrive. http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-VINTAGE-18K-SUBM...1QQcmdZViewItem I am going to report it.
  16. You are right vtx, mbw watches (1680,1665) were retailing for 500 usd to average members. For instance, I remember paying 430 eur for a vintage 1680. Not to mention the Nautilus I have on my wrist...It was expensive and price was on request.. In early times some special collectors chosen by Maria got his pieces. Other requests were declined : No watch for you! People joke about him as the Nazi Soup Then came Lucyyy with his porn watches You are right about the thais. the guy who brought to me this watches went to Lumpini Stadium with his girfriend (he did boxing in his early years) and there thais were charging 50 eur to each tourist.
  17. vmena member has purchased some tools and is working on this issue. He may help you, he is a very nice guy.

  21. it all started with a submariner.
  22. very nice pugwash.
  23. Reading again my post I think I seemed too rude! All that you know about mbw/mbk watches has been a precious secret for most of members in this forum. But now that we all know where this watches come from we still have to order watches from dealers because most of us cant go there buy the watches, drink a nespresso and get back home for dinner. And yes, you are right, "the collector who helps other collectors" that you mention can help you out. why did you do all that writing if you already knew the answer? Regards Manuel
