Yachtmaster and Daytona do not have hollow centre links as other sports models. THe click is soft on a gen Yachtie and turns both ways.. I owned one in 2003 and sold it as I did not think it was worth the money. The biggest flaw is the fact the dial and Bezel are platinum(rolesium) on the gen and should therefore macth perfectly but no rep has yet successfully done that. Also the crown on Andrew's perfect watch is far from it! and the crown guards are too proud. That said it looks pretty nice overall and you can be proud to wear it!
I have sold many watches on Ebay over the last 2 years ranging from $1000 upto $10000 for gold Subs etc and the fees are the big issue plus the reserve price fee if it does not sell. You could always start the auction at your lowest take price but sometimes that will scare people away.
Maybe try an auction with a lower cost item and see how it goes. Once you have sold a few watches people will notice this and be more confident in your status.
Good luck
THe case is much larger on the Genuine Chrono100 than the standard 100.
THe sizes quoted would appear to be too small as said. I would have guessed at 45mm x 45mm or something of that dimension for the OEM watch.
I'm struggling to get a good photo as my camera is knackered so relying on my phone but the recess on my 16600 looks pretty similar to the picture you showed Ubi. THe insert is smaller on an SD because the bezel edge is thicker compared to a Sub but the recess is about the same.
When I get me camera back I will take some reference shots showing the Shallow rehaut and higher crown postion in the guards etc.
Save up a bit more and buy a new Seadweller for 2700 pounds like I did last week, the dealer has just told me that Rolex has sent a new price list and it is now 2930! The watch is absolutely stunning! and worth a bit more saving
Genuine SMP's do have Ar coating on the inside, at least mine does and you can in cetain lights see a faint tint on the edge of the crystal. That said it is only 3 weeks old so maybe it is a new thing on OEM Omega's.
By the way it is a 253100 not Chrono like the rep.
I have my suspicions that it is fake. The cg's are questionable but the lighting and angle could change my opinion if differently presented.
Heavily modded or a Joshua perfect model wiht gen insert and crown.
THat is great, thankyou. I have not yet got the watch but as far as I know it has the mystery movement and works.
I'm guessing that the V23 is a two register movement so do you just freeze the 6 hand? or would it be worth the mods to fit a 72?
Thanks
Paul
As a soon to be DW Daytona owner and hopefully the owner of a VJ72 original movement also my question is regarding the hands. Do the hands from the mystery DW movement fit the Valjoux or do I need to source new ones?
I'm looking forward to this project and I'm willing to spend good money on producing a very lovely example that I can take pride in wearing!
Already got oem tube and crown plus tropic 21. Any help on what else will be required would be very helpful.
Thanks guys!
Received mine today from River and fully agree that this is the very best rep yet to be made straight out of the box!!!
I think also that there is a small amount of AR on the crystal but not as much as an OEM model. Stunning!!!
The rep does not have AR of any significacne. The OEM watch has very strong and very obvious AR coating because they have coated both sides of the crystal but it should not be bad as the glass is flat and reduces reflection becasue of that. The curved Panerai and Omega crystals are far worse without AR. Nice watch, enjoy!
River shipped mine Monday but is held up somwhere in the U.K.
Very nice my friend but it does show how much the AR coatin gon the real one effects the clarity of the dial. I wish the rep makers could start to do this on most reps as there is only Rolex that does not yet do it OEM.
This company is 'Helfands' on Ebay and usually provide a high standard of service. I've had many Rolex bits from them.
I think they offer the relume service on Ebay.
Yes David's tube is thicker but well worth the effort. I'm not sure if his crowns have got thicker as the 2 I have from 3 months ago are not quite thick enough compared to Palpetine's new 2.1 crown and the OEM crown but they are well made with a good bright OEM lustre to them and crisp teeth.
