  1. Yes that is a beautiful Noobfactory DSSD and Trevor has a great price on it. If only the Noobfactory would finally make the dial "white gold" hour markers a ***little bit*** thinner, it would be so perfect. If BK can make a custom dial for his TW Best Submariner, then the damn factory should be able to fix their own DSSD dial.
  2. Fun Fact: The "correct 10" issue is a three year old problem, and no new DSSD you buy today should have this issue. Dealers just mention it ... well ... I don't know why they still mention it.
  3. Regarding your question about Trevor's recent sales post to the Forum ... he does sell the Noobfactory DSSD as well!! One DSSD is named after him because he brought it to the market, not because it's the only one he sells. Trevorbobo is a dealer, not a factory ... he has one DSSD named after him, but he sells both kinds!
  4. No that is a NoobFactory watch. The main differences are that "TrevorTime" model DSSD has a totally square white triangle on the ceramic insert at 12 oclock and the Noobfactory model has a very curved white triangle on the ceramic insert at 12 oclock. Neither is 100% correct. the Gen has a slightly curved triangle. Not square and not very curved. Also, the Helium escape valve on the two models is very different if you look at them.
  5. Welcome to the Forum, and enjoy your new hobby!
  6. Hello, how are you? Allow me to relate to you a few things regarding the DSSD replica scene. There are two factories making high quality DSSD replicas right now. They are called: 1) Noobfactory DSSD 2) "unknown factory" so we call this one the TrevorTime DSSD after the dealer who brought this watch to the Forums "market" Fun Fact: These two models of DSSD can be available in Asia 21j movement, Swiss Clone, Genuine Swiss, and Asia 3135 look-alike movements. The watch movement sets the price range, but otherwise the case, dial, and crystal, etc, are the same for each available movement. Did you know: There is a third option for buying a DSSD ... a trusted watch modder on the Forums (BKLM1234 is his nickname) sells a reworked Noobfactory DSSD with his QC process and a custom date wheel said to be more like the genuine. DSSD watches from these two factories range from $98 to $400++ depending on the movement inside or modifications specified. Again, I stress that the actual watches are the same and the movement inside the watch accounts for the difference in price. In my opinion, the TrevorTime factory has dropped the ball over the last two years, and not updated their watch at all, whereas the NoobFactory continues to update it's DSSD to the current day. If you want the most accurate DSSD replica, and cost is not a problem, then I suggest a BK modified DSSD with a full Super-Luminova re-lume of the dial and hands. If you are not ready to spend in that price range, then a common Noobfactory DSSD with an asian ETA clone movement is probably what you need. One last thing .. the Puretime v6 is Noobfactory, and the Puretime v7 is the Trevortime model and the price he is asking for those two watches is quite good.
  7. I have the same set-up and I simply used a bit of force to make it work.
  8. If you want the current "best Submariner" there is a modder here on this Forum who produces it. Look in BK's Watch Garage area for his TW's Best with custom dial Submariner. For a budget replica of the Submariner, any Noobfactory model will be fine .. asian movement, Swiss clone or genuine Swiss. For a gen Swiss NoobMariner, you are looking at 190 for the classic style and $205 for the ceramic style .. so that price is not too low or too high.
  9. The fair price for a high quality 21j submariner is $55, not $150.
  10. The submariner I linked to you is from the Noobfactory, and is considered to be the best entry-level watch. I don;t know where your two-tone is made, and I can not judge it's quality. You already noticed that the 2-tone has a china movement.
  11. http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlss01008-black-dial-classic-2008-update-asian-2836-p-5708.html You must press this link 2x for the correct page to appear. The first press will take you to the home page. Second press will go to the watch.
  12. After you turn the crown anti-clockwise, and it "releases" from the watch body ... you are in the winding position. If you now tun the crown clockwise, you will be manually winding your timepiece. To set the date, please grasp the crown firmly while it is in the winding position and gently pull it out farther from the watch body. If you turn the crown in a clockwise manner now, you will see the date change as you turn. To set the time, please grasp the crown firmly and again pull it away from the watch body. In this 3rd position, you will turn the crown either anti OR clockwise, and you will notice the hands are moving and thus you may set the time. Please note that the distance the crown appears to be from the body of the watch in this drawing is greatly exaggerated. Regarding your watch bracelet: Look at the sides of the bracelet. Do you see screw heads or very small pins holding it together?
  13. There are a certain percentage of rep hobbyists who feel as you do. They have an emotional "sticking point" about replicas and their smallest flaw. So you're not alone. I can't offer a cure. It's just a fact. My advice would be to take a deep breath, relax, and don't spend that extra $xxxx dollars chasing perfection; spend it on a box of other fun watches.
  14. Good luck with everything you are about to go through. This is a tough one, and I wish you all the best.
  15. The code words for replicas ... "Synthetic Sapphire" is normal glass. Sapphire is sapphire.
  16. I have purchased a pair of ETA movements from them ... I suppose it is hard to go wrong with that kind of order. They were fairly priced and arrived as described.
  17. Send Watch International or King Watch an email asking for this piece. They will tell you plainly if it is impossible or not.
  18. This reply seems perfectly reasonable to me .... the dealer is telling you to send back the watch for free repair. That is 100% normal for any dealer.
  19. Ok from the info you are giving us, you have a GMT IIc with an Asian ETA clone movement and GMT complication. You are asking if a gen Swiss 2836-2 with GMT complication off of eBay will work in your watch. I can not be certain that the asian GMT complication uses compatible hour/min/gmt wheels as the Swiss version .. thus I do not know if the hands will fit. A good watchsmith can increase/decrease the hole size in your hands to fix this, tho.
  20. If you go back out to the main front page of RWG and scroll down through the forums, you will see a big area called Watches, Accessories, etc ... and a big list of trusted dealers like Precious Time, Watch Eden, Pro Polo, and many others. They have been supplying us for years and are 100% trustworthy.
  21. Newly repaired UN Diver for me today
  22. Look on the left hand side of the screen and choose "View Last 24 Hours" ... this will work for you until you accumulate additional unread posts over time.
  23. I agree. If you get the China Clone movement and it eventually dies you can always drop in a brand new Swiss movement as a replacement. (or repair the clone)
