In your second photo, the ploprof UNDER the first one has a recessed, domed crystal. I assume we're looking at 2 different generations of watch in that picture.
Yes ... I guess sarcasm does not readily translate across languages. I was not really suggesting that Gen watches are trouble-free and perfect. I was implying that the original poster might find that the World of Gens has it's own troubles, and with a much higher price tag.
Member Concepta can source and assemble gen IWC movements, dials, strap, etc ... put it into a quality replica case and you're home free. Send him a note and ask when he can do for you.
After the big post I made about the Franck Muller Long Island Crazy Hour, and how to special-order one from Watch International ... I was looking at their site and they DO stock it ... it's not a special order at all.
Here's the page.
Ever since you and Gioarmani broke ground and introduced the glacier (and silver) dial roman numeral rollie to the board, I've loved the look.
Havent picked one up yet tho.
When going to a "chain" restaurant with a family of four to eat re-heated crap costs $120 with the tip ... and a train wreck of a movie like the one I was forced to see tonight is $60 with snacks ... do you seriously think a loose hand on a $150 watch is reason to lose heart and call it a day?
Seriously?
Get it fixed or learn to fix it yourself. It's part of the fun. On the other hand, if a minutely proud crystal edge makes you want to give up ...... perhaps reps aren't for you.
We all know that Gens never break and come perfect from the box every time.
This Gen was posted to the forum only a few days ago ...
Regarding 24H hand color ... Gens have yellow, orange or red .. One color is not better than another
and again, I think this new offering is a good deal. It's sad that they tried to make a 1:1 and got handed a franken watch as a model (if that is the fact)
The most reasonable suggestion so far is that someone sold Josh a franken 1655, which the factory then used as a gen 1:1 model .. the 24-hour markers should touch the rehaut. The dial on Josh's "gen" looks just like an aftermarket dial out of Vietnam. So to answer your question, the dial print is wrong, not the case.
As you may recall, I dislike the Ingy .. looks like a bank vault door gone bad. BUT that leather strap really transforms the watch and I like it very much. Good work!
Yes well .. rep lume can be bright, but it never lasts more than an 30 mins or so unless you are in total darkness.
Gen lume is bright and in order to be ranked as "super luminova" it has to remain visible for 7 hours (or is it 6) after charging. Now that does not mean it will remain brilliant for 6 or 7 hours. No .. just visible. It fades, just not quickly.
As for where to find Vac .. I think he just posted to his area yesterday? His email address is in his forum signature.
