  1. This watch is an excellent example of how even an older v3 model can look as bright and white as the supposed "316F steel" dealers are trying to sell nowadays. Just clean it and brush it and ... viola! 316F ... hahahaha
  2. This Forum keeps a list of good replica dealers. Look in the Forums listing for all of their names. A replica watch is just like a normal watch .. buy a cheap one and it will break! Buy a good one and it will last. Welcome.
  3. Narikaa sells the best "value" versions of the Planet Ocean. They are very reasonably priced. The UPO (45mm) and the PO v4 (42mm) are the current best reps of the Planet Ocean. They accept genuine parts. Replace anything you want with purchased GEN parts and they fit right in. You can make the perfect Franken Planet Ocean. They are twice the price of the POrikaas (at the least)
  4. Place it in your pants pocket with some coins and leave it there all day as you walk around. It will add some randomness to the long even scratches you have created.
  5. Another person learns the reason you don't post boastful pics to Gen forums. Another rep collector will call you out while all the Gen owners chirp and cheer, staring at their own gen sub (with the crown perpetually un-screwed)
  6. So I understand that this fantastic rep is once again available on a limited basis ... which dealers have them in stock and ready for sale?

    HE Valve

And that is why you should seal them with epoxy or risk being very sad when your watch floods. Any DSSD with an HEV which pushes inwards is a disaster in waiting. Unfortunately almost all DSSDs have this false valve.
  8. The UPO pearl sits low in the triangle. It's not supposed to be centered.
  9. I wear it snugly. I find that if you give a DSSD too much slack to play with, it will bang the HELL out of your wrist. Heavy watch. Other watches, like a 42mm PO, I give a bit of slack, since they don't have a quick micro-adjustment, like the DSSD. Enough to shake them on my wrist if they feel a little sweaty.
  10. Nice brush work. Did you re-surface it yourself or was that also Zig?
  11. So why not just buy one of the famous Narikaa 42mm PO value watches?? For about $110 USD you can't go wrong with this solid piece for wristwear.
  12. A 28,800 beats per hour watch movement ticks the "seconds hand" 4x per second. There is no such thing as a perfectly smooth sweep unless you are talking about an old-fashioned AC current wall clock.
  13. The rolex clone movements are known to come apart inside the case, and jam. It's not advised to buy them until they are re-designed. Sorry for your trouble.
  14. You would need to use a hair dryer to warm the adhesive under the bezel insert, and then when it is soft, gently pry it up. Clean up all the adhesive residue, then re-glue the insert in it's exact and proper location. Not for the faint of heart. Your watch is a very nice example and I would feel quite comfortable posting pics of it to your Facebook, but certainly not to a "Gen" watch forum.
  15. In North America, Vaccum and TheZigmeister are the go-to forum members for service and lume.
  16. When you say "inexpensive Japanese version" ... I immediately think that it's a Miyota Quartz watch. Is it battery powered quartz or self-winding mechanical?
  17. I did exactly the same thing .. when that "how much is your rep collection worth in GEN dollars" thread was posted last month, I suddenly realized I have 12 reps .. I had NO IDEA!!
  18. Look at the dial. It has the beautiful v5 whisper-thin trim rings around the hour markers. As for the gaps, I think those are shadows. I believe you will be very happy. As for "ultimate v5" ?? That watch doesn't exist. The Cartel factory makes the "Ultimate" and Eurotimez' factory source makes the V5 ... saying Ultimate V5 is like saying you drive a 2009 Toyota Ford. From the stance of the bezel ring, the pearl design, and the hour marker slimness, I would bet you a donut that this is a ETz factory-source v5 timepiece.
  19. Seagull ETA clone? That's my guess anyway. Seagull makes a clone LIKE an ETA, without it actually being the common "ETA clone"
  20. Ok, the one you link to on Watch International is a puzzle, since the title says 7750 (mechanical) but the description says 251.262, which is a Swiss 27 jewel quartz movement. Looking at the display-case, tho, shows it to be a mechanical movement ... but perhaps it's a cosmetic-only display back, to make a quartz watch look like a mechanical one. I would write to them for clarification. Since they are a forum approved dealer, they are not trying to fool anyone here .. but with replicas, it's always wise to ask for clarifications
  21. hand winding an automatic watch is detrimental to the health of the gear train. If you must do this, only wind it until the watch starts, then wear it in order to wind it further. normally, you would not wind it at all. you would swirl it in your hand 20 or so times to make the watch start, then hack it, set it, and wear it.
  22. Send Mary at Watch International your photo. Tell her you have only seen this rep at Scam sites, and ask if she can find you a proper replica. If there is one, she can find it. Ask for photo approval before shipping.
