The SWISS MADE and the fonts on the tachymeter scale also stand out when looking at both; the known gen has bolder fonts for these attributes. I'm not familiar enough with this model Inge otherwise...

Val- The whole T-SWISS-T vs. T SWISS T signing is an identifier of sorts for different era of Panerai. The T-SWISS-T are primarily the Pre-A style dials; these are classified as a sort of neo-vintage and fit in between the alphabetical series numbering of Vendome/Richmont era produced Panerai and the Pre-Vendome 5218 series Panerai (which typically had no 'SWISS' signing at 6:00). The T SWISS T are typically found in the alphabetical series production watches produced by Vendome/Richmont, but there is some bleedover of T-SWISS-T dials in the A and B ranges since old stock parts were likely used in the assembly process as those items were available for use (and likely there was no discernment of any potential collectibility of these pieces, or more specifically dials). Who would have thought that such a simple watch would be so difficult to duplicate! Indeed, the 1016 is just one of those watches that has such an odd charm and appeal to it. It's as basic in design as you can get, yet the character it holds is quite captivating. I have to say, your V1 definitely looks much improved after the dial swap! well done

Marty- Be careful with that one. Since Rolex dials have a bevel around the date window, and because it's under a cyclops, any room for error goes out the window as those two factors will only pronounce the details. Try more lube next time. Just when you think you have enough, add more It's critical for those kinds of situations...

I had to do this on my Inge to get the date properly centered: If you go at it from the back side and angle it just right, it's not bad; touch up with a little black paint and what you see above is the finished result. Granted, I only had to remove a very small, minimal amount...

V1 dial is quite close to gen! Here's my watch when it had the V1 dial: And now with gen dial: Texture/color is a bit off, but V1 is (in my opinion) definitely the closest!

Indeed... I've run into myself a few times, myself. Please and thanks go a long way with me... But it seems as though the practice of such formalty is almost a lost art in and of itself... And not just on discussion forums. I've noticed it in the workplace, and even just in every day life... I don't know if people were raised to disregard manners, but my parents and grandparents always instilled the importance of this kind of etiquette; I will be sure my kids understand the importance as well...
